Beasley has the same size and age of Shamet.

But Beasley has more games played and more points per game.

He is a more proven player although is a little bit crazy out of the court.

Last year was the first year he ever played defense. His DBPM was 0.8 meaning his defense made his teams 0.8 points better per 100 possessions than a league average player. By contrast, Shamet was -0.6.

Let's suppose he does start. What's the backcourt rotation at that point?

Beasley's probably playing the same 28mpg he had last year. Brunson plays 33mpg. That leaves 38mpg for Deuce and Clarkson to split.

Sounds ok BUT that also pushes Bridges into a crowded front courtyard where one of Mitch, Hart, or Yabu is now pushed out of the rotation unless none of the starters plays 30+.

I saw a lot of a Alonzo Mourning -type of game on the defensive end , with the second chance points , intensity ,Hustling, Boxing out , rebounding , interior post moves , quick step long arms and occasional 14 foot jumper, passing to the open man . He is a def a man that lets the game come to him.

Karl Anthony Towns, as much as he is one of the better shooting bigs he eventually did Hurt us Defensively in the playoffs and also a lot offensively . He lives and dies on that 3 , doesn’t take advantage on mismatches , soft. we lose interior rebounding when he camps, only leaves the center to fight for rebounds. If he is the center then there’s no big on the post grabbing rebounds , unless Hart is in the game. He Was truly exposed by Siakam as a liability in the ECF.

We made the trade for towns and we still lost to the Pacers . Since Boston , Pacers , 76ers are all out due to injuries , I would make a trade for Jalen Duren .

I know the Pistons need a 2nd star who can score
And I think a Towns - Cunningham pairing would work .
