Somewhat. The right guys can still get a 1st in return. And it's always been the case that fans of non-competing teams feel that all their playable vets should return 1st round picks in a trade when most of them won't.
Few years back . Grayson archtype would have garnered a first for sure. Not sure if there’s any value attached to current klay.
I disagree about Allen ever being worth a first, but I probably dislike him a bit more than I ought to based on what a dirty player he was in college and the first part of his career. I was always worried he would injure someone on our team who was actually good during practice and was glad to see him gone.
