Snyder die hards are so insufferable. IDGAF if you're a fan of his movies. You don't need to tear others down to lift up your faves. Man of Steel got over a $100 million more in international sales than Gunn Superman and yet Gunn Superman is only $60 mil behind in total sales. If they didn't have a crazy July slate of movies that everybody was going to watch, it would have crossed a billion
Yeah I think his fans suck and frankly Snyder didn't understand anything about what makes Superman great. Gunn did. He made Superman an absolute boy scout, aw shucks good guy who just wants to be kind to people and animals...and it worked. Because that's what the character is. Not some moody dude whose Dad told him its ok to let people die.

There's a version of this with Superman, but the only place I could find it was one of those subreddits where they were all complaining "I must have missed that part of Superman when I was a kid" like yeah, YOU'RE THE MEME, YOU'RE IN THE PICTURE
F*cking dumbasses. Sometimes I wish I were that stupid, cause ignorance is truly bliss.
I don't understand how they missed that part
Like literally the lesson behind Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man is the same: If you have the ability to stop something bad from happening, you should do it.
"My home got blown up so I will love and cherish this one and the people of it and protect them."
"My parents got murdered in front of me as a child. I won't let that happen to anyone else."
"With great power comes great responsibility."
How do you miss the point this badly? It's blatant.
Like even Iron Man has a noble message, he started out as a arms dealer and realized what he was doing was hurting people, so he stopped doing it and literally dedicated his life to protecting the world. He was selfish man who became selfless.
Captain America was a weak and frail man with a sense of honor and duty, and he gained incredible power. He didn't let that change him, in fact his power magnified his character.
All of this stuff is "woke". Always has been. Nothing has changed. Comic book superheroes for the most part carry a social message. Where does the media illiteracy begin?
