Warriors finally came to their senses. JK f around and is finding out now. He’s not worth more than the QO. We stay under the first apron and have the opportunity to go after buyout players making more than the NTMLE during the season.

Did JK steal your girl or something...

I'm not seeing this anywhere....

Neither am I.

Assuming "pulled" was mentioned by Shams and Slater, that could still be anything. The 2/45 could be pulled and either (a) not replaced with another contract, (b) replaced with a 2/45 with the 2nd season guaranteed, (c) replaced with a different contract, or (d) replaced with a S&T deal. Pretty much where we stand right now.

You would think news like this would be openly discussed everywhere. Just very strange.

I got to hope they are bringing a new offer to the table.

Without that 20M salary, they're is almost no path to make a move at the trade deadline if we are close

Overpay GP2 with his Bird rights for a tradable contract, this might be why Cody Martin who is a defensive player is on the Warriors radar.

This is from ESPN's feed on YouTube. Looks like the banner is legit. Why no media discussion about it? Did I miss the announcement??

Well, if the Warriors weren't going to budge on their offer it sounded like JK was going to take the QO with the recent statement so it may be true.

lol, It would be fitting end of the saga if this is how it gets announced!

Can't find anything to back up what it says on that chiron. ESPN screwed up on that one.

Yea i don't believe that banner. Feel like the way this negotiation has gone we'd get an update that there was a deadline when the warriors would pull the offer rather than it being done so abruptly. Plus if it was true one of shams or slater would post it on their socials.

That seems more likely to be the case. Someone at ESPN either messed up or is messing around.

They did the same thing a few weeks ago when Slater was on. I remember watching, seeing a similar chyron (I think it was before the 2/$45M offer was the current on), and then nothing which backed it up. Looks like more people noticed this f—- up from ESPN than did so the last time.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

I’m intrigued by this as well.

Cam Thomas also risked the QO, but he’s at least in a situation where he’s scored 20+ ppg 2 years in a row as a fulltime starter with nobody thats going to oust him from his spot this year. He has a clear path to go score 24+ again with more efficiency to earn a bigger paycheck.

JK is behind Jimmy and Dray and even if he plays next to them it kills our spacing and forces Dray and Jimmy to get more beat up playing the 4/5. Then you got 3 centers that could keep Kuminga from getting minutes in smallball. And Moody improving could steal minutes at the 3/4. Not to mention the same system that doesn’t provide him with pick and rolls and isos that other systems would.

I’d rank the best options as:

1) somehow get a S&T done where Warriors get Kispert or Ellis and Kuminga gets consistent 30 minutes starting in Sac or DC (likely sac even in a Kispert deal as 3rd team).

2) sign Kuminga longterm (like 4/80) where he can keep steadily building a role until he’s getting 25ppg post Steph and easily tradeable if needed (Monta like scenario).

3) However the QO or a 2 year deal play out… which I just dont have high hopes for it ending well for either party.

The Warriors current offer sucks and JK has no incentive to sign it.

Allow me to fix this for you...

Kuminga's current attitude sucks and the Warriors have no incentive to coddle him.

There, that's better. :D

The Warriors current offer does not suck, this is the best offer in the entire league.
if he does not like the current offer he should leave the league and play in China then. Why is he still here?

I just want this dude to sign the QO already and get it over with. We all get it, you don't want to be here, but you also want your money that you think you deserve, but don't. So sign the one-year, bet on yourself, and see where that takes you. I'm so sick of this dude and wanted him gone last year or 2. He's the square peg in the warriors' circle system, just saying.
