I thought about this too, but the amount of rumors that the Heat are not even trying to have Rozier in camp is alarming. Did the Heat PR team ever mention him working out with the Heat at all this summer? I am trying to scroll through Heat media to see any mentions of Rozier
I don't know where Miami stands with Rozier, but at least while Herro is out, Rozier slides perfectly in as the scoring punch coming off the bench. I'm not sure Larsson or Dru Smith are ready for heavy minutes over an extended period. It isn't a lack of talent, but usually young players lack the consistency. Even if they both play ahead of Rozier, Rozier is an insurance policy until Herro gets back.
If Miami has no intentions of using Rozier, then I think Miami would be wise to bring in a vet like Josh Richardson, Delon Wright, or Alec Burks. And I think Miami needs to sign Achiuwa or some big as an insurance policy for the frontcourt.
Not sure how much wiggle room Miami has financially.
Miami has a platoon of guards why need another one? More than they have had probably since Arroyo, Chalmers and Bibby. Cant remember if Arroyo was on the roster the same time as Bibby.
If Miami has no plans to play Rozier (or if Miami buys him out), I think Miami needs another PG in case of any injury to D Mitchell while Herro is out. Dru Smith is coming back from a torn Achilles and may or may not be ready at the start of the season. Barring some unforeseen improvement, Kasparas seems a long ways away from being able to play regular minutes.
Alec Burks would only be an option if Miami bought out Rozier.
