But to be fair, prior to all the concussions he had Hill and Waddle eating. I believe Hill had the best season of his career and Waddle was like top 5 or 3 or some ish in total yards. Achane and Mostert were cooking, the defense was good, the O line was solid. The entire team sucks now honestly and yea Tuas brain is cooked
He looked good, but even then it never really came against the good teams (though it was a small sample size). This has always been the knock on him. Unfortunately he is what he is now.
I didn't get to see prime Marino (though seen plenty of clips), but even older Dan, no quarterback I've seen for the Dolphins since has given me anything close to that level of confidence in the team. Its a shame, we had arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, and failed him for his nearly 20 year career in building a team around him, and now we've been cursed for the past 25 years to have nobody come close to filling his shoes. It'd be like if we never got Wade his Shaq or LeBron, AND Wade never gets hurt so he goes on to have a Jordan like career breaking records but without the championships. Just nothing but bitter feelings to the Dolphins organization, glad my dad got to enjoy a perfect season but for those of us born after the 70's its been a really, really rough go.
As it is, I'm on the "Tua has to go" bandwagon, he is what he is and in the NFL more than any sport, you NEED a great one at quarterback, especially with the rule changes that completely favor passing now. His backups suck too, so its gotta come from the draft. No more trying to grab free agents either, yeah we missed out on Drew Brees but that rarely happens anyways, most end up like a Culpepper or Trent Green or Joey Harrington, meaning they're used goods for a reason.
