Draymond, IMO, has way too much ego to be a coach. I can see him running player after player out of town cause he doesn't have "dog" in him OR because the player stands up to Draymond's Apha approach. Kerr is great because of how he handles personalities (yes, blessed to have Curry but has also dealt with Draymond).

Honestly I'd keep Kerr in a start over plan with the Warriors cause I don't want hacks failing to shape the Warrior's future.

Dray will start out as an assistant coach, and is smart enough to apply himself to becoming a top notch coach. If he wants it, he'll succeed in it.

He's smarter than most people think.

I love Dray the player and he has a great basketball mind. I agree that his ego is a bad match for head coach.

As fir what to do, you folks know my view already, since i eould do it even if Curry didnt retire.

Being smart isn't all that matters though. In all likelihood, Draymond is an undiagnosed psychopath. As a head coach, God only knows what he would do to his players - particularly the younger ones.

He's done as good a job of keeping a lid on it after the suspension as I could have hoped for, at the time. It is still far short of being the kind of personality he would need to be able to coach superstars, millionaires, and teenagers, all at once.

"Keeping a lid on it" or hiding behind a Mask of Sanity?
