It's worded ambiguously, but it seems like that's a lot going on all at once. I don't like the replay center communicating to the officials absent a challenge. I'm all for getting calls right. I'm all for adding a 4th official and changing the rules to allow the replay center to buzz in on obvious missed or bad calls. I'm all for challenges to be reviewed solely by the replay center and cutting the officials on the floor out of it. I just want to be as transparent as possible.

Per the Wiretap... "There is "some distance" in the early stages of extension discussions between Dyson Daniels and the Atlanta Hawks, according to Jake Fischer of The People's Insider."

If he makes it to RFA, I'd love to see the Jazz make a big offer as I've wanted him in Utah for a couple of years now.

Same. I'd be pretty open to doing something like 30 million.

would probably take more for them to not match. Thats jalen suggs money which is a pretty fair comp for atlanta to match? (assuming daniels doesnt regress)

I would hope they'd match that. I would just be hesitant to offer more than that given the cost structure of putting together a team now. But if they are far apart on an extension, I am curious where Atlanta is? Suggs feels like a decent comp in terms of what he should be paid.

Ja Morant trades feel close to impossible. It feels like he's a ticking time bomb and he's one bad landing from missing a large part of a season. I don't know if Memphis could get a positive return in a deal.

I am sure they can, there are few players as talented. The issue is that they won't get a return that reflects his actual impact when he is playing and healthy because he is always injured in some way and has had so many stupid off court problems.

I guess the 26 draft has a a couple of really good PG prospects in it, which could give teams like the Jazz and Wizards pause ahead of it, but after the draft, they absolutely could get positive value from a rebuilding team looking to achieve escape velocity.

Positive value? Certainly. Superstar value, commensurate with his impact? Doubtful.

I don't think anyone is getting a Paul George to the Clippers level return again because the circumstances were so unique, and frankly, how it worked out for the Clippers. Even AD to the Lakers will be difficult to replicate. However, if the Wizards young players perform better than expected, I suspect that cap relief and a couple of firsts and swaps could be on the table. That seems to be the basic formula.

I think we're on the same page. That's in the ballpark of what I could see the Jazz offering.

Instantaneous no from the Jazz.
