Mobley gets 4 more rebs per game and he plays next to Allen…he’s just better, more versatile, and younger. CLE doesn’t even understand the proposal, let alone agree.

Morant + JJJ
FOR
Garland + Mobley
Who says no?
And yes a 3rd team is needed.

We need his offense and he is our homegrown talent. Mobley is a great but is best as a center likely due to his 3pt shooting mainly but both are great cornerstone players. Grizz tried moving up to get Mobley but Houston wouldn’t budge.
Jaren is also frequently injured.
I’m fine with betting on Jaren. He is a true 3 level scorer as well as one if the most versatile defenders in the league.

He’s a fine player. Hes just not worth Evan Mobley.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

As I mentioned I wouldn’t trade Jaren for Evan. But Evan is a fantastic player as well.

Sure but if the deal were on the table, MEM would need to add.

I don’t agree. Jaren ability to play 4 comfortably and close as a center is not replaceable by what Evan produces especially on offense.

The Cavs. They're not going to trade Mobley.

Re: Mobley for JJJ: rare star for star edition
JJJ has been absolutely atrocious every time he's played in the playoffs. He puts up nice counting stats in the regular season. Mobley is better and has a lot of room to get better, no chance the Cavs trade him for a guy like JJJ.

Re: Mobley for JJJ: rare star for star edition
A nonsensical proposal. In a league where there's no shortage of overrated players, JJJ is probably the most overrated to me. Unless and until he learns/decides to be something more than an absolutely anemic rebounder for his size (exactly league average in rebounding rate, lower than his SG last year) he'll be fine but grossly overpaid.

And on a contract that doesn't reflect the fact that he's frequently injured. He's talented, and will likely have good trade value, but if he's moved it will be to a team that's looking to achieve escape velocity from a rebuild rather than a contender over the second apron.
Is either Hali or Tatum frequently injured? Just curious what is the standard.
Neither of those guys is in this deal.
That’s what I thought

If you're honestly asking, I think that Haliburton's injury history would be factored in by a trade partner, particularly a partner already in the tax.
Tatum has played in 64 or more games every season he's been in the NBA, and 70 or more games in 7 out of the 9 seasons he's been in the NBA. He's not a good comp to JJJ. His first serious injury was in the playoffs last season.

My point is that all payers are mortal and can get a season ending injury in every game. Some face the unpleasant experience in the 1st part of their careers, some in the 2nd. We are certain that Mobley will be less injured in his career than JJJ is what triggered me in the arguments above.

This far JJJ has been the more injured player, that lowers his value.

Nothing is certain. Zion may never get injured again, but the information available will be used in evaluations by professionals.
