No quality pg play. I’m a big Jaden fan and want him to stay and improve BUT I think he might be one of the ones who’d have to be included with Rob to get something back.
We need either another ball handling/play making wing or pg next to Ant as the second guy.

Randle is the #2 and he's a much better than average #2.

I get that. This wasn’t really in relation to Randle per se. He’s the 2 now but I think it would serve the team better if the 2 was a wing/perimeter player.
I still think the team is mismanaging the roster construction and they made it to the wcf in spite of that.

Is he?
I like Randle, but he's an inconsistent shooter and we've seen how good teams can take away his inside game. Guys that are long and athletic give him absolute fits.

IMO he's a better than average #2. I think much better, but that's debatable.

Can't help it, I love Jaden Ivey. I would do Rob, DDV and whatever swap, 2nds Wolves have. Probably wouldn't be enough, especially now. Maybe during the season if things in Detroit between him and Cade don't work out, but even then they'll probably trade Ivey to Utah for Lauri.
But Ivey, Ant, Jaden, Randle, Gobert with Mike, TSJ, Clark and Naz off the bench....

The idea of trading for a guy all of us actively wanted off the team is the most Wolves fan idea I've heard.

To be fair, that was years ago when he was making upwards of 25 million and still thought of himself as a star. In this situation our alternatives are pushing Mike harder than he can take, running Dilly who is objectively less ready than Dlo (and will cost more every year,) or Bones Hyland (a man I still contend does not belong in the NBA.) Sometimes when you are left with no good options, seek out the least bad.
P.S I don’t accept Ant and Randle as the PGs. It just doesn’t end well.

I understand, it just sucks we're in this position. With a more thought through plan we could have done better.

To be fair to winforlose, I was one of DLo’s biggest critics, but I thought about him during free agency. As much as I dislike him, he can bring the ball up the court, he can playmake, and he can hit three’s on certain nights. He’s more fairly paid these days at the taxpayer MLE ($5.685, which we have also), but it seemed like a foregone conclusion he was going to stand in for Kyrie in DAL.
But Note is right too - I don’t think he is a winning player, with his lack of defensive effort and his inconsistent play doesn’t allow you to rely on him. Hopefully with a smaller role that matches his new paycheck, he becomes more team-oriented.
