At the time though, the number of people here who were aggressively advocating for the team to acquire Lauri was off the charts. For the longest time I had as my signature the quote of one moron who proclaimed that Lauri was the equivalent of Dirk Nowitzki.

There's an argument we could've won a title last year with Lauri. A lineup of Curry/Moody/JB/Dray/Lauri would be really really good.

The counter-argument is Curry, Dray, Butler, and Lauri would NOT have fit under last season's 1st apron hard cap. The additional counter-argument is Lauri missed 35 games last season, including the last 13 games for the Jazz. He would have been of zero help in the postseason.

Speaking of which, Lauri has yet to play in ONE playoff game in his career (two play-in losses in 2022 with the Cavs). Blame the teams all you want, but he hasn't been able to catapult the teams he's played for with his constantly injured carcass.

Counter argument, Lauri wouldn't have gotten an extension last year so he would've only cost 18M (major reason why he wanted to stay in Utah because he'd get paid quicker by getting an extension). Could Lauri have played in those games or were the Jazz tanking. He seems to always be "injured" at the end of the year when they've given up on the season and are trying to blatantly tank.

Lauri would've been the 4th best player on the team, he's not meant to carry the team, that's what Curry and Jimmy are for.

Yea, I'm not sure how we have both Jimmy and Lauri, particularly given the extension both of them got. I guess we could trade JK, Moody, Buddy, Podz, and GP2 to get close to the money this feb but, personally, i think that would be insane. Lauri doesn't seem healthy, even given the discount for Uta's tanking. I'd rather get 65% of Lauri's offense and 250% of his defense in the form of Al Horford, at 10% of the price.

Warriors receive: Vucevic.

Both expiring contracts -- Bulls have no direction and might be enticed by a lengthy lineup of Giddey, Buzelis, Kuminga. I'd feel so much more confident in our bigs if Al Horford doesn't have to play every game and Vucevic and Post can hold it down during the season. Playoffs? Horford and Vucevic.

Not a bad proposal. Have bulls throw in a few SRPs for the TO on JK and call it a deal.

Got a lot of burn from posters on other social media sites cause Vuc doesn't play defense, he's washed, etc etc. I get and see that sometimes esp last year when Post outplayed the hell out of him, but it's one of those desperate trades that could and i have higher hopes for Vuc than JK for this iteration of the team.

It's moot. We know Ainge would have wanted a king's ransom in draft capital. MDJ was right to say no.

Need to look at what the team has if they move Kuminga. The biggest need would be another defensive wing although Moody looks to be handling that currently. I also wouldn't be surprised if GS keeps Kuminga and extends him this next season if he buys in.

Gs - Curry, Podz, Melton, Seth
G/F - Moody, Hield, Payton II, Richard
F - Butler, Santos
F/C Green, Horford, Post, TJD

Dillion Brooks makes 21.1 and then 19.9 mil the next 2 years.

Is there any way to get Saddiq Bey out of NO? He's making ~6 mil a year for the next 2 years coming off his injury that kept him out last season. Possibly try to get Herb Jones and Bey for Kuminga and some draft assets? Maybe get NO in as a 3rd team in a Kuminga trade to get Bey as part of the package.

With the 27/28 player option and just given his status as a player, seems like Giannis would have a lot of sway to choose his destination, and that Bucks, while they'll get a big return, won't be able to just send him to the highest bidder.

Lakers are never a lottery team. Don't you think that with the ownership, fans, arena, history, locale, Warriors can be an attractive destination for a star even with Stephen Curry gone? Someone might want to take that mantle?

You are right. I still don't want them to trade away valuable draft capital. But yeah, it is an attractive destination, and Lacob is not a guy who would sign off on tanking.

I will be okay if Dubs win 1 more. Then I don't care if Dubs sucks for the next 10 after that.

Just 1 more ring! After 40 years of sucking before Septh, what is 10 years post Septh?

5 with LeBron in the league that’s rapture.

Jordan never had a rival, whereas curry went up against LeBron and he’s going to have more titles than him. That’s goat stuff.

This whole thing we want to be good 15 years after Steph, is crazy to me. The odds of us getting another top 10 player of all time is so slim and that fact that you’re not going all out to win while you still have a top 10 player of all time while playing at a top 5 player level is just insane.

People think we’ll attract free agents, sf is not the place to be for young millionaires. There’s no places to go. You literally have to fight for women because there are so few and you’re also going against tech money for their attention. We are not going to be a destination in the future.

Dallas has an owner that was treating everyone to five star treatment and they couldn’t attract anyone. Great ownership is not what attracts young nba players.

The bulls have been trash since mj. They had the front office, they have the history, and no one wants to take that mantle.

There is no guarantee that we get another top 10 player of all time in the next 20 years and people are ok with not giving everything for our literal franchise goat and people really think this is going to be a destination? This just gives off vibes of we’re planning for the future at all times so if you come here we’re already thinking about how we can replace you and that’s supposed to be attractive?

There's plenty of things to do in SF.

But if you mainly want to hang out at strip clubs, there are better cities for that.

Bay also may be too cold for those giant yachts but are NBA stars buying yachts which cost over $100 million?
