Do we know yet what the Knicks actually did at 5pm?

Exactly. We need every penny we can find. Aller and Rose should be in the Time Square or in the Central Park hunting for pennies on the ground right now.

Absolutely correct. 180k is approximately 13 days of what a vet-min player's salary counts against the apron. Not having Shamet for the first two weeks of the season means the Knicks can have a 15th player on a vet-min contract for two weeks at the end of the season *and* for the playoffs. It's a no-brainer move.

There is definitely value in having a little more flexibility under the second apron but until another move is made it just seems like the difference between signing some random guy from the buyout market/G-League in the middle of March versus the end of March. We were debating the crucial additions of TJ Warren, Okeke or Moses Brown last March :D

Last year they did all that maneuvering which allowed them to fill the 15th roster spot around March 1st I believe and they still waited until March 10th just to offer PJ Tucker a 10 day. In the end it looks like they essentially just took some money out of someone like Hukporti's pocket, put some of it in Tucker's pocket, gave some back to Dolan and maybe greased a few palms in between. I hope all the maneuvering this year will be a little more fruitful for us as fans.

Towards the end of year get Delano Banton. Problem solved.

I need to calculate the numbers to see if a last day of the season vet-min signing is possible. lol

Is it that time of the year when some rando waived by another team is suppose to change the Knicks fortunes? That's my second favorite time right behind summer league superstar season.

You’ll have to excuse me, I’ve been in the can for the last 20 years and I didn’t rat on nobody.

So who do we need these pennies for?

We may need reinforcements for the playoffs. We may need a replacement for a starter. Or even a backup. We may need more defensive center, playmaker, or another big wing.

End of the season?

We'll be fine. Why don't we worry about that then?

Final roster predictions? This is where the capologists like to rain on our parade. I think we need to keep a third-string rim-protecting center in case Mitch goes down. If that happens, I'd like to see Hukporti at least start the game in Mitch's place and go from there. He's not Mitch but he does Mitch-like things and he keeps KAT at the 4. I'd also like to keep Shamet on the roster because he's instant fire off the bench and play a little point, hustles on defense, etc. Hi Richard444. lol

Can we keep Diawara. I think I like him better than Dadiet.

Diawara will make the roster along with Dadiet
