But, there is a reason why only the Magic could get him for 1 year $7 mil deal because no other team was fighting for him so he had to accept this deal. Just imagine if a year or two ago the Magic gave him a contract like he wanted back then, he would have gotten roasted here as bad as Fultz or Elf did. He could flame out here and the Magic may no worse for the better with AB and Jase.

I agree. This is a good call by Weltman.

Neither option is great, but AB is trending into bust territory now. At least Tyus can run an offense and get assists and knock down shots. AB is a 3 and D guy that can't shoot from 3. Borderline wasted pick. Terrible draft overall, two huge misses. And to think if we got a few ping pong balls to go our way we could be running suggs/paolo/Franz/wemby right now :banghead:

Both of these guys are the wrong answer.

Getting Wemby was the key to everything. We should've tanked that year as hard as humanly possible.

Tyus has to at least knock down his open 3s.

you can't overreact to a small sample size... but even a few more games of that level of horridness would be enough for anyone with a brain to not go to it ever again.

You simply can't be a serious defensive team and play Tyus Jones. He definitely is a better offensive player than he has shown, but he's never been that good on offense that it makes up for it on defense. Its why teams don't keep him around. And we won't either, but hopefully we don't have to watch this the whole season.

I remember how this board was willing to sign TJ to a sizeble contract when he was in Washington to run a point here
Thanks god he is a a 1 year deal and we can pivit from it easily.
Still hope we can find a role for him here.
