Shak_Celts wrote:We have a few problems. Rebounding is the obvious one. We have no PG play. The offense has just been who can get their own and then chuck a shot central. I’m also noticing that the bigs can’t get a rebound because our guards can’t keep their man out of the paint. Watch for the rebounds, our bigs are always away from the basket or on someone else’s man trying to help. Then the guards who got beat are 2ft tall, apparently, and can’t rebound or box out!
Just go back and look at the tape, all those rebounds come from a breakdown on the perimeter. OK, maybe not all, but a large amount. Of course our little guys can’t then box out or grab the rebound, because they are left in there against bigs from the other team and guys that will out hustle them.
We start two guys that are supposed to be point guards, at least capable of it, but I haven’t seen the offense ran much at all in the games. Then add onto that, our best shooters can’t shoot, except Pritchard finally finding his shot. No shooters means the defense gets to be lazy, then it means clogged sets, and wasted time.
Then Simons gets in the game, he’s supposed to be the other point guard, and he can’t run the offense either. Just watch the defenders, they clogged up any lane for the ball handlers. If they don’t have to worry about people shooting, they have no worries.
Time to find an offensive assistant coach! The guys can’t shoot, that would help a lot, but we’re gonna need more and more cutting and Joe just drawing up better plays. Heck, even when we cut, where is the ball getting there???

Simons' sense of how to set up the PnR is poor from my observation. Of course chemistry plays a part here.

The thing about fatal flaws is that you don't survive them
Brad might've earned this team a top 4 pick with his management of the bigs
And if so, well played, probably the right move. But there's a lot of season left so we'll see.

One can only hope that Boston gets gifted a top pick with their new ownership like what happened with Dallas and New Orleans.

Simons is poor at every aspect of the game except for scoring. He probably has had poor coaching since he has come into the league

If tanking was your goal then giving Mazzula an extension was the perfect off-season move.

Still think this team has enough talent to beat some of lesser teams.
But yeah this idea that we are a top 5 East team was always fanciful

I’d take 1/1/1 for a win at this point. Maybe he needs to sit out and we win tomorrow?!! Try anything, I want some wins!!! Force the others to have to figure it out without him and it may get them into better playing, then we drive the wins from there. See who has what!! I want to give 30 minutes to Hugo and he better take at least 6 attempts. Want Rico to get up at least 10 shots! White to defend and find his stroke. PP may be back, but needs to run the offense. No Garza. Want Boucher to start.
We started off excellent. We just can’t sustain it.
I’m bummed.
Tankers, I’ll see you at the finish line!! I’m here!!
