And maybe Amari Williams, elite rebounder in college. 7-foot, 265lb. with a 7-5 wingspan.

IT"S TIME

Brad knew exactly what he was doing by not going after bigs this summer.

One can only hope that Boston gets gifted a top pick with their new ownership like what happened with Dallas and New Orleans.

I’m also noticing that the bigs can’t get a rebound because our guards can’t keep their man out of the paint. Watch for the rebounds, our bigs are always away from the basket or on someone else’s man trying to help. Then the guards who got beat are 2ft tall, apparently, and can’t rebound or box out!

Just go back and look at the tape, all those rebounds come from a breakdown on the perimeter. OK, maybe not all, but a large amount. Of course our little guys can’t then box out or grab the rebound, because they are left in there against bigs from the other team and guys that will out hustle them.

We start two guys that are supposed to be point guards, at least capable of it, but I haven’t seen the offense ran much at all in the games. Then add onto that, our best shooters can’t shoot, except Pritchard finally finding his shot. No shooters means the defense gets to be lazy, then it means clogged sets, and wasted time.

Then Simons gets in the game, he’s supposed to be the other point guard, and he can’t run the offense either. Just watch the defenders, they clogged up any lane for the ball handlers. If they don’t have to worry about people shooting, they have no worries.

Time to find an offensive assistant coach! The guys can’t shoot, that would help a lot, but we’re gonna need more and more cutting and Joe just drawing up better plays. Heck, even when we cut, where is the ball getting there???

Simons' sense of how to set up the PnR is poor from my observation. Of course chemistry plays a part here.

0-3 isn't much to be excited about. 0-7 or 0-8 will be nice.

We all new best case scenario is this is a 7th or 8th seed team and a 1st round out. Worse case scenario is this is a bottom 10 team in the league.
This is a gap season, we know that. We lost Tatum, Jrue, Horford and Kornet. Not going to count KP, because he sucked in the playoffs, health issue or not. He was not dependable either playoff seasons he was here.

If we start like 0-7 or 0-8, not too many Celtics fans would be upset in this gap season. I personally could easily pivot for a tank season if that there to happen. It would be better than a first round exit. Get Tatum back next season, get a top 5 pick. And in the mean while, develop Hugo, Queta and Minott.

Simons is poor at every aspect of the game except for scoring. He probably has had poor coaching since he has come into the league

The Cs could use a better big man than what they have right now, but it's more than that.

If the Celtic big man is not in the paint because he was forced to switch or he was guarding the perimeter, it will be PP, Sam, White, and JB trying to get the rebound.

There lies the problem because that's just too small.

Joe can make a personnel change by always having Boucher or Mynot in there.
But I don't know why Joe doesn't do that.

If this trend of Sam and PP being the 1st unit continues, it will be a natural tank and we can start talking about top 10 picks in 2026.

I just want to give Jaylen Brown his credit for today's great game. It sucks we wasted a 41/6/4 JB game and Lost
But I am still giving JB his flowers
Great Game Jaylen!

Brad might've earned this team a top 4 pick with his management of the bigs

And if so, well played, probably the right move. But there's a lot of season left so we'll see.

I mean it was the smartest thing for them to do.

I’ve never understood this logic that you just ignore reality and try and put as much talent as possible just so you can get eliminated by the actual contenders.

Until Tatum is back and firing we are simply not an elite NBA team.

Just look at what the Sixers did last year. They probably could have played George and Embiid more and won a few meaningless games. Instead they shut them down and now they’ve got Edgecomb

If it’s chemistry, what’s the excuse for White and Pritchard? Something isn’t right, from Coach because he’s supposed to be the head, and players.

If we successfully do a pnr it’s few and far in between.

Let me just add, we don’t need a starting center, but our backups aren’t good. I was mad before Garza even entered the game. I just don’t like his play since g1 of preseason. Idc if he only played around 14 minutes, I hated every minute of it!! He’s just SLOW!! His screen setting hasn’t been great either, but then I don’t pay him much attention. I just know when something goes wrong out there, it looks to involve him. He tries with every live off his being but I sure wish he didn’t come back tonight. He can’t defend a chair!! This was a game for X, but that’s just my opinion, doesn’t really matter.

It feels like Garza got the 2 guaranteed, he tries to do the right thing, so Joe will force it with him. I get that he wants to rest a big for tomorrow, but that’s dumb because one of the ones that played tonight will have to play tomorrow. Ffs

I’m not turning on Joe, but I have hated his decisions at times.

Cant say some of y'all weren't warned. We haven't even hit Browns inevitable month off due to lingering knee issues.

If tanking was your goal then giving Mazzula a extension was the perfect off-season move.

Still think this team has enough talent to beat some of lesser teams.

But yeah this idea that we are a top 5 East team was always fanciful

They're not gonna be the worst team out there but it would be malpractice to chase 44 wins when getting into the lottery at that point is a far superior long term accomplishment.

No, he must travel back and forth from Maine and back to play zero minutes. We're clearly playing high stakes basketball right now and Joe knows that we can't be messing around with playing our draft picks.

Great Game Jaylen!

I’d take 1/1/1 for a win at this point. Maybe he needs to sit out and we win tomorrow?!! Try anything, I want some wins!!! Force the others to have to figure it out without him and it may get them into better playing, then we drive the wins from there. See who has what!! I want to give 30 minutes to Hugo and he better take at least 6 attempts. Want Rico to get up at least 10 shots! White to defend and find his stroke. PP may be back, but needs to run the offense. No Garza. Want Boucher to start.

We started off excellent. We just can’t sustain it.

I’m bummed.
