How does Presti do it?

I'm a Nuggets fan and we owe then first rounders for trades I can't even remember

I honestly believe his best attribute is that he's patient. Also as maligned as he is (for legit reasons), Clay Bennett is a great owner who doesn't micromanage at all.

Presti realized his mistake by helping the Mavericks get Gafford and Lively and rectified it with Hartenstein and Caruso. He also values cap space during a rebuild to take advantage of teams who hand out bad contracts..

Was it even a mistake at this point? OKC got Cason Wallace and a swap with Dallas for their 2028 pick. It cost OKC a series sure(he could have made other moves to get the backup 5 they needed) , but in a vacuum... OKC won those deals now i'd say

He rectified it, but yes, not getting another big cost his franchise a chance to make the Finals a year early. I can't discount that. Now that they won in 2025, in the end, it worked out. And I'm pretty sure Cason Wallace won't be on this team once his rookie contract is up. He doesn't appear to be getting better offensively, even though he's played rotational minutes from day 1.

The swap for the Dallas pick is an unknown at the moment and thus can't be counted yet. We still have another 2.75 seasons to get there.

Fair to say that about the Dallas pick.

With regards to Cason i'd bet he's on the team beyond his rookie deal. By the time he's up for $ Caruso will be done and he's you can't lose both. He does really well in his role playing off higher usage players and can attack off the bounce as well if his role scales up with guys out. As perfect as you can get for a defensive player at his size too with the versatility to guard bigger size as well. I'm pretty high on him. I'd even bet Dort is gone before him

I think the dream fit is Markkanen in the Pistons. That would kind of be nuts

At some point Cam Johnson is gonna remember how to shoot the ball, and Denver is going to be almost unstoppable

The Jazz and the Pacers are not even good offensive teams. These two teams wouldn't be at the top my list of 2 teams combining for 280 points. Especially the Pacers.

I hate these 11 pm et start time games. Why in the hell would the NBA legislate this?

THe Nuggets having real players coming in and not collapsing every time Jokic sits is why they traded MPJ. Jonas V has been huge.

I’m done. Joker doesn’t get the points he deserves like all the other superstars get free throws to ride their ppg
