Battle single handedly won us the last game against the Cavs.

I swear if I see Walter check into the game before Battle tonight.....

you know very well Walter is checking in before battle today.

Well that's just part of the politics of the NBA. If they really believe in Battle that much and have lost faith in Walter that much then they might as well go ahead and send Walter down to the 905. Call up Mogbo, and add some size and elite perimeter defense. I would understand it because Walter has been by far the worst rotation player on the team, decent defense with absolutely atrocious offense.

They know what Battle can do. Get Walter in and see early if he's got it going or not.

Id rather not see us lose games because we want to gift Walter playing time. Him and Dick together are just too damn weak physically for a team that's already undersized.

Walter's a 2nd year player who is still growing into his body. Guys like him play in the G League all the time and that's exactly where he should be until he shows hes too good for that league.

GD is the same player as he was a rookie lol.

It’s why he still can’t carve out consistent minutes despite being a third year lottery player. He hasn’t improved on his weaknesses or strengths.

He still provides amazing spacing and is generally great at moving around the court but to act like he’s some radically different player vs his rookie self is a reach imo.

At least do some research before you make silly posts.

Rookie yr: TS% 54.6
3rd yr: TS% 56.4

Rookie yr: Ftr .115
3rd yr: Ftr .413

Rookie yr: WS/48 .010
3rd yr: WS/48 .086

Rookie yr: VORP -1.1
3rd yr: VORP 0.0

There's more there if you're interested.

This is useless drivel lol. He’s one of the worst finishers in the league. He shoots 2 FT’s a game, congrats.

He’s a lottery pick in his third year and we aren’t even sure if he’s a tier above Jamison Battle who is an undrafted player. That says all we need to know about Gradey’s development from his rookie year until now.

Thank you. Gradey might be one of the most protected lottery players we ever drafted.

If anyone else was this disappointing, we’d never hear the end of it.

No Strus, Lonzo, Garland or Tyson. That’s like half their rotation, gotta win this.

Trust me, I whine about him all the time. I dont even judge the kid on his makes/misses, I judge him for what he does on the court when he's not trying to score and he makes my eyes bleed in that department lol.

To his credit, ive seen Dick try harder in the past few games but lets see how that goes.

Forgive me for using advanced metrics to illustrate how a player has developed. What you’ve outlined in your response makes a much stronger case as to how he is exactly the same player.

Exact same player is probably unfair on my part but I don’t think it’s too far off, especially if we compare Gradey’s 2nd half rookie szn to now.

I think we can all agree that we thought Gradey would be significantly better than what he is right now, if someone asked us what we thought Gradey would be in his year 3 season, it wouldn’t be this.

Season is still early but at some point you gotta show why you were one of the best shooting prospects to ever come out of a freshmen class. He’s running out of time to prove that. :/

They still have Mitchell/Mobley/Allen/Hunter and we don’t have CMB, Mamu or Ochai. Gonna be a tough one

I think only Ochai is confirmed out.

Mamu and CMB is still up in the air. Hopefully they’re okay to go play.

i thought allen is taller than that, they are considered a big team because they play 2 7fts(atleast i thought allen was that)

Allen's listed as 6'11.

I see this as a very good test for us.

I see us built pretty similarly as the Cavs, with good but limited starters in every slot. The Cavs have a collection of very good players at every slot - but they didn't actually take off as a team until they had all 5 of those starters together, and suddenly all the starters covered each other's weaknesses and complemented each other and suddenly every player looked pretty studly on the analytics, when they were just ok to good before. For me I've been hoping/expecting for a similar effect for the raps players this year now that we have a full 5 legit talented starters to play together....and we've actually started to see it already, but it's early times and the hope is for a much bigger effect on the numbers as the year goes on.

The one big role advantage the Cavs have right now imo one is in the #1 scorer role - Michell vs Ingam. Mitchell at the moment looks like a legit elite player an Ingram while he's good is just not that. That being said, i'm not convinced that Mitchell is as good as the analytics say he is - I do think all of his weaknesses are covered up nicely by his teammates thought and maximizing his effectiveness.

Eye test doesn't tell you that Allen is way taller than 6'9? Allen would be the tallest player on our team and we have a legit 7ft out there. Allen is definitely taller than both BI n Barnes who are in the 6'9 range
