100%, And at the time Harden asked out.... It was beyond obvious Maxey was ready to be an all star and I wanted Harden gone due to it.

Harden a great player still, but he can't be your "system" because he's too ball dominant to choke the way he does.

The thing with aging superstars is they end up shaping your entire roster in their image. Look at the Clippers and it feels like the front office is still building for 2010. You can’t push the pace, you can’t run a modern multi-action offense, and everything defaults to isolations or PnR. In a way, it helps that Embiid stepped back a little this season because it let the team lean into Maxey and the current league trends, even if that style doesn’t naturally cater to Embiid’s strengths.

Ideally they can maybe this team resemble the showtime Lakers... Joel is the answer when the fast paced magic isn't happening, and can anchor the defense

Its also a good way to counter the Thunders who’s very much equipped to shutdown our guards.

Just around 10-11 games in, and there’s already a lot of players going down with injuries LOL

Training camp used to be intensive and start a month before the season. I saw an episode of the arena earlier this year they had an athletic doctor on referring to the types of exercising they aren't doing anymore to prepare certain muscles that are getting injured though

IMO injuries can simply be minimized by removing back to back games.

Two in the top 10 at the moment. This is some unprecedented ****. Shows what you can do when you start the process with players other teams want.

If they would have traded Joel when they were supposed to, we might be in a similar situation to OKC, and not be stuck with raggedy ass PG.

Shoulda shipped him out during or immediately after the Olympics.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

The back to backs are idiotic, and if you have them.... Then adjust to certain principles.

1. B2B need to have 2 nights rest on each side
2. Most of your B2B need to be at home so you don't have travel
3. Any road B2B need to be in a situations where a bus can be utilized for the second game and the drive no longer than 1.5 hours. So B2B in NY and Brooklyn and LAL to LAC.... GSW to SAC... CHI to MIL

But I still feel like they need to train different muscle groups and not just with these resistance bands but with real weight training

I feel like NBA scheduling has to be hard as hell, to be fair. Especially if you’re sharing the venue with another team, concerts, Disney on Ice lol. I can imagine a lot of stuff is out of their control. Can’t make the schedule fair for 32 teams every year.

If you can't make it fair for all 32 teams then some kind of weighted system should be in place as it relates to your season ending standings, not draft pick standings. If you were the worse team you get more B2B games, hell you need all the practice you can get. The 2nd worse team gets the 2nd most B2B games and so on. You don't want to play B2B get a better winning record.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

My 2025 Draft Order choice.

Compared to OKC though... Their top players asked and wanted out to compete. George wasn't home grown and asked to go to LAC. Russell saw the writing and wanted to compete going to Houston.

Joel hasn't really ever come close to asking out... Besides some BS talk surrounding Jimmy and Miami and of course he never asked.

Franchises, including OKC don't typically trade their home grown guy without it being mutual. In this case Maxey essentially made it too tempting to stay for Joel when Ben sat out and when Harden sat out

You’re correct. However, Morey should have went full Nico mode. That’s why you’re paid the big bucks. It didn't work in Dallas’ case, but in our case he would have completed an epic heist...that would have been made crystal clear about 3 months post trade.

Tari Eason out 4-6 weeks. He turned down 100M. You cannot even entertain trading for this guy.

Looks like Oubre is going to miss some time. Bona will be out for a week at least. I sincerely hope PG and Embiid can at least make a cameo next week for us.
