Okay, yeah, I just took a closer look at the numbers and I'd love to know more about how they come up w/the composite ratings because they barely relate to the individual skill ratings, so I'm gonna go ahead and just ignore those...

maybe some composite of all the categories...so the guys that check off a lot of the categories (the masters non but do a little of everything usually have decent ratings.

I think scoring is also heavily influenced or at least thats how I perceive it.

I think a perfect example is Caruso he's 58 ranking...he gets killed because of his low scoring but his defensive impact alone will be higher than most 60 or 70 rated players (maybe even some 80 ranked players).

Right. It's why Thybulle impacted my starting lineup much more positively than Kuminga last season even though Kuminga had a much higher rating.

I don't wanna talk about Thybulle's ratings.

The stats he’s putting up now will be reflected in his sim rating next BaF season. Good thing I signed him to a cheap 2-year deal.

As for this season, 72 OREB is something I definitely ain’t mad at, helping to get those high valued extra possessions. It’s higher than other OREB beasts like DayRon Sharpe.

And Drummond’s DREB is higher than Mitchell Robinson’s.

Wagner: 87 overall (Potential 93)
Tatum: 93 overall
Bam: 89 overall

POT = potential of the player. I honestly don’t know how useful this is. (I think the more you play the player the better chance he has to reach his potential over the course of a season. You might have to ask bish about this one or somebody else

It could actually be useful to know the answer to this.

Celtics are one of only 2 teams posted so far that doesn't have a guy with a POT rating under 50. Would playing young guys early strengthen my team as the season goes on?

Scottie has a 94 POT and obviously I'll be playing him a lot. Could he be a top 10 guy by the end of the year?

If this SIM is like most SIM's I assume you can play more than 1 season. So potential might have more impact for future years (which doesn't really impact our season).

I do know Bish has said players ratings/attributes have changed in the season depending on trades (how new players fit with current players on roster). I have to believe winning and if a player is playing well also helps someone's rating get closer to the potential score. I don't think anyone knows for sure though.

The DEF rating algorithm the sim is using has been very unrealistic in the past couple of years and it seems like it’s getting worse and worse.

Take a look at this, Bagley has a higher def rating than Tatum. Clarkson and Giddey have a higher def rating than Max Christie. Make it make sense lol
