Acquire superior talent flipping current cast or pay our cast and assume it’s sustainable?
I'd like to see Miami re-sign Powell. I think he'd do something like a 3-year, ~$70-$75M deal. Preferably, it'd be a declining contract, so ~$27M, $25M, $23M OR $25M in each season.
I don't care for Wiggins' game, but if he opts-in and stays another year, that's ideal.
Fontecchio should be very affordable to keep around.
I think Miami should pass on any extension for Herro that significantly surpasses $35M/season on average, so roughly 4-years, $150M would be the max, which would have him on a total of 5-years, $183M.
Similar situation with Jaquez, although his extension will depend a lot on if he can keep up his current form over the season (currently at 17-7r-5a on 52 FG%). Miami cornered themselves here a bit since they have a completely unproven player in Jovic $62M guaranteed over 4 years. Jaquez will want significantly more than that, like something closer to $80-$90M over 4 years.
