Pelicans don't have there picks. Dumars trading for draft capital makes no sense. He will just be fired before he gets to make those picks.
Pelicans not having their pick this year isn't really relevant, they are going to have to tear down that team soon regardless and getting back picks for Trey will be pivotal. Zion's value is in the dirt, they will need to cash out on Murphy.
They have two players right now that they might be able to build with in Queen and Fears. Why would they give up their most valuable asset, to get back a player that plays the same position as their best young player (Queen).
because they want wins. I know its recency bias and KAT has had a rough start. But this idea that Murphy in a silo has more value than KAT just isn't accurate.
Now what the pelicans want is a different story. If they blow it up Dumars is going to get fired and making moves for the next POBO. I wouldn't put it passed Dumars to try something desperate to win games.
