Watching Cavs and Lonzo Ball, he look so big out there and I keep thinking he has another gear but just never get there. Maybe he is a viable option with the Wolves lineup.
Whoever designed these NBA cup courts mush be color blind or I have a terrible Sony OLED TV.

I would take Lonzo on a minimum with no promise of minutes. Beyond that he is not worth the injury risk.

No one beat the drum for taking a flyer on Lonzo more than me.
But he looks done. He looks nothing like the guy from 2021-22 on either end of the floor.
Its a shame because pre-injury Lonzo is about as good of a backcourt partner for Ant as you could ask for.

Is it something where you take what you can get though? For example, is a C+ version of Lonzo Ball better than a B+ version of someone else?
Money is the hardest part though. I don't think a Donte swap would be the right value for us.

Commentators on Prime is praising how great Ball is a team player, high baseball IQ, defense, and passing the ball. Seems like a lot of stuff Wolves lack. Size at the PG too. He is no all star but you expect Ant, Randle, JMcD, Gobert, Naz to make the all star game.

Ball misses about 50% of games.
If we’re paying someone 38m he better play. I wouldn’t trade any of the 5 you mentions and even if you think moving DDV is worth it (I don’t) you’re still 25m short. The money doesn’t work and he’s not locked in enough to make it worth giving up one of our top 5 (paid) players.

Wrong Ball.

He’s closer to a D- than a C+ right now.
Shooting horribly, their defense is better when he sits and too many turnovers.

Fair.
And while Lonzo makes less than LeMelo, he also (somehow) plays even fewer games. He’s closer to 40% played.
Still no thanks if you can’t stay on the court. What’s the point?

Did Tyus Jones lost his minutes last season in PHO to Gillespie? I mean it says a lot. Anyway, I wonder if MIN need Gillespie type of PG, not Tyus Jones type of PG, who you think might be the next Gillespie story?

Keon Ellis needs a new home.
He's more Nickiel than he is Gillespie but I think he can be had and his contract is basically nothing. Kings could take a gamble on Rob
Dysfunctional Wolves fan

Can Keon Ellis be our Jevon Carter (MIL version)? I mean hardnosed on ball defender, who can hit open threes at high rate?

So a 2030 1st and a pick swap for Keon Ellis?
I'd say I rather let Rob try to still develop a bit more before calling it a day.
If he still sucks ass at the 2027 trade deadline then consider moving time.

Or Spoelstra, would be nice to have a coach that gets the most out their entire roster and doesn’t turn into a deer in headlights when teams make big runs..

He would be great as well. We can also toss in however many millions of dollars it takes.

Last night shows always the same flaws. Stupid Turnover from ANt and Randle, slow release ball, no idea when playing tight defense....we do not have the smarter players but coach are here to teach them and adjust. Finch did a poor job last night in the 4th.

Re: Trade Talk (Part 18): Early Season Panic Edition
It’s a shame that there isn’t a good format for obtaining James Harden, should the Clippers continue to suck. He has been balling out of his mind this season.
I don’t think Minnesota would be comfortable trading Naz Reid which instantly kills the package (omitting Gobert/Edwards/McDaniels/Randle). I would take the risk, but I get why others wouldn’t. I think the Clippers would consider the package I keep spamming at the Trade Deadline, if he asked out (honestly, he might just be happy in LA, which would makes it dead on arrival).
Funnily enough, I Googled his stats and just learned that he dropped 55 today. This post was completely written without that knowledge.

Re: Trade Talk (Part 18): Early Season Panic Edition
I continue to see the Clippers struggling and hope for the Chris Paul. He just announced he will retire at the end of the year, and maybe just wants to retire with the Clippers, but if the competitive Paul wants to be on a contender, we would likely start him. For those that say we need a traditional PG, you can’t get more traditional than Paul. He still is a smart defender and can make assists, and no one in the NBA has more experience throwing lobs, so he’d add three dunks a game for Gobert. At 40, he can’t bring much else, but we could have used his professionalism last night, and we would have a youthful Mike Conley (38) to back him up. He’s on a vet min, which is out price range.

Spoel would win a NBA championship with our talent.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
