This team's obsession with 3Pt shots is absolutely illogical given that we aren't a good 3Pt shooting team. It makes zero sense.
And for those who say "let the young guys shoot and learn from their mistakes", I tremendously disagree. I'm ok for Clingan, Sharpe etc to take a few attempts each game, sure. But we shouldn't be seeing so many 1/6, 1/8, 2/9 etc 3Pt lines that we've seen all season. It'll only help influence a chucker attitude imo. We've seen it with Shaedon.
I don't care if it's open - if you're open for a reason (e.g. Sharpe or Clingan), perhaps take that as a sign.....

We are still the only team to have beaten OKC.Walton1one wrote:Just watched this game on replay, POR, completely outclassed , then again so are most teams vs OKC, but I would say, the thought that Dame is going to come in and make this team able to compete with OKC? Ludicrous
The fundamental flaw with this team is?
Embracing the Billups’ defensive philosophy. Good offense will always beat good defense in the NBA, specifically in the playoffs when it matters most. This team has sold out any aspect of offense for defense, and it is a flawed strategy, and even if Dame came back 100% he’s not gonna be enough to offset it.
Oh, there is the Caleb lLove I remember, 3-13/1-8, what a waste of a 2-way spot, he does not even have the self reflection to wonder whether or not the shots he is taking/way he is playing is best for the team. No, it’s just full steam ahead and screw everything else.
Camara had 4pts & played mid level defense, these kinds of outings are not going to make people feel good about the contract he signed
Avdija struggled tonight, teams are figuring out what is tendencies are & he is going to need to adjust if he wants to keep elevating his game
DC keeps so many plays alive, even if POR did not capitalize on the multiple times he kept possessions alive, the value is still there
I am sure there are some fans who will look at the way Yang played tonight and be encouraged, but I am also sure they are the same fans that completely ignored the multiple times OKC players blew by him for an easy score, or the multiple times he was easily boxed out of a play
I actually feel bad for Splitter, this is probably not a roster he would’ve preferred, and yet he is going to be blamed for this team‘s shortcomings, when the reality is, this is 100% on Cronin/Billups ill begotten vision quest
