You can answer that, can't you?

Any chance Bucks keep Giannis this season , change coach and do some minor trade ?

I don’t think a minor trade gets it done. Their salaries make it hard to put something together. Think it comes down to whether or not their keep their 2031 first or not

Definitely. And you have a chance to drive to your local gas station, buy a powerball, and win life changing money.

Yea part of the reason I considered an offseason trade to be possible is that salary matching could be tougher in season.

Minor trades as I suppose bucks will protect that tradable first to some degree rather than unprotect it.

Agree. Minor trades and signings can’t fix the bucks.
They do have some decent players, salary ballast, and with their 2031 pick they could make a medium trade. It doesn’t take a star , but takes the right guy to fit with Giannis.
Coaching change really seems necessary.
Jordan Walsh goes top 10 in a 2023 redraft.

Yeah, I don't really get that report. We've seen in recent years both the Bane and Bridges deals that are basically "everything and the kitchen sink".

Although I could maybe see a world where teams are slightly more willing to do that kind of deal for a final piece like the Magic and Knicks thought those guys would be, than for actual bonafide stars since you don't want to have only that guy and little else.

Think removing the 125 percent match rule made a lot of deals hard to match money.

Use to be able to generate some value in a super start deal by clearing up the books a bit.

Then apron rules have made teams think twice about going all in financially.

Overall, it’s harder for teams to clear the books financially like they use to.

Think nba is in an oddd place where super stars can easily tank their value below the Banes, Bridges and Goberts of the NBA.

If Giannis says GSW or NYC, the other teams aren’t going to send their best packages to inherit the bucks problem.

With OKC this dominant , they are less willing to pay a price that might be more fair to Milwaukee for a no guarantee Giannis than if say the league is wide open with no clear favourites.

Basically the premium one is willing to pay if the trade allows them to be amongst the 2 favourites for the title at least .

LAC - what is their move this deadline?
Hope to get healthy and it all work out into the play in ?
Move some value guy for roster spot / second round players that haven’t perform so that next season they have some playable rotational player?

Not sure what choice they have. They can't afford to be bad, because they don't control their own picks, and they won't get a return that's worth more than what their main guys are giving them.

They could in theory put together a bit of expiring salary, so there might be a chance for them to take on longer salary to get a slight upgrade.
