I was pleased to see CK start at 2 before he was injured. He was outstanding IMO except for his average defense.

I don't feel particularly great about it but can see arguments for both sides...

Why do the Sixers make the trade? They need a defensive stopper?

It's a your trash for my trash kind of deal.

Both are players that have some potential to have value down the road but also have potential to lose a ton of value. I think Bilal's worst case scenario is a bit better than Jared's. He can still defend and has size and athleticism. Jared does absolutely nothing but score and is stuck behind two long term young starting guards. If he continues to look bad offensively, his value would be zero basically.

So for Philly: Get a player with similar boom/bust trajectory but at a position with more flexibility.
For us: Get a guy who showed a flash as a scoring guard.

It's a trade where you can see either side winning it or both sides just releasing both players at some point. Which is kind of the mark of a fair trade.

I'm not exactly ready to call Bilal "trash."

Interesting and I see where you are coming from.

I would rather put my efforts into Tre and Riley. I think they have more upside (opinion) and McCain would kind of mung up the works.

Also, having a player like Bilal next to Tre and Riley is a "nicer" balance, IMO.

Trash was too strong a word for sure. Project for project swap.

I agree that the more I think about it the less interested I am...but two weeks from now Jared might have a string of very strong games and change my mind lol. That's just how it is.

Bulls looking for help this year. Could we send them Kispert and Cam and get back a first?
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

Okoro and Jalen Smith both make about 10 mil this year and next. Zach Collins makes 18 and expires this year. I think we could work something out. Maybe add some of our seconds going their way if needed.
