Re: [Shams] Raptors signing Mo Bamba
I mean it’s a decent low risk high reward play.
But I expect very little from him. There’s a reason he was available lol

Overall, I'm quite excited about this signing! We desperately needed this ages ago.

Just need to step in here and say that Serge was a very smart player for us. Precious, yes absolutely, he wasn't the smartest guy and that held him back, but Serge?! He was unarguably one of the most integral pieces of our championship.

don't you know we're only allowed to compare African players to other Africans? It's the same with white guys.

We don’t have to fix our situation until the end of the season, iirc. Still lots of time before the trade deadline.
I believe in Masai.

Otherwise they’d just keep signing Mo to a 10 day contract.
Until you hear from the FO definitively it’s probably in your best interest to stop speculating.

So much negativity for the 20th man on the team signed to a contract that can be waived.
I believe in Masai.

Gonna be sad when Manu and Bamba get paid next year. This feels like double Biyombo moment. I love it

At this point just sign Dwight Howard or McGee. Hell even give me the corpses of Ibaka before mo Bamba.

This was a player that some wanted to trade good players for just 2-3 years ago. Now we are signing him on the cheap.
Not a bad signing. Gives them a bit more size and will be especially important if Poeltl is out.

Re: [Shams] Raptors signing Mo Bamba
I mean he is a career 15/12 per 36 guy who shoots 36% from 3 and blocks 3 shots per 36.
So he must be absolutely **** useless defensively to be available.

I think we'll continue starting Scottie at C with Yak out, but the opportunity will be there for him to play some meaningful minutes

i thought it was kinda known he was **** on team and individual defense. maybe he can help with rebounding but that's about it.

Re: [Shams] Raptors signing Mo Bamba
Not a good player....But we have to take what we can get here....Sounds like Yaks back is cooked and might be out foor extended period....If that is the case i hope we can make a trade for an actual good big man without giving up draft capital....

Re: [Shams] Raptors signing Mo Bamba
Since the Raptors are only allowed to have 1 active Center on the roster, I assume Poeltl is gone for a while. Love the move since we got nothing to lose.
We're playing Jokic in a few days so now we can hold him to 45/15/15 points instead of 50/20/20 lol.

serge was good as long as he didn't the ball on the floor but he did develop a 3 and got better from high post and mid-range which helped us out tremendously

Take Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol off the 2019 team and put Scottie at center. Do we beat the Sixers? I think healthy Embid destroys him.

I don't think he's useless defensively. He's kind of average with a propensity to hunt for blocks, and fouls a lot. Has had some tough luck with injuries. Not Whiteside levels of braindead stat-padding play imo. Obviously hasn't lived up to his draft slot, but I think there is enough there for our coaches to work with.
