Scottie will start getting passes too for those kind of games if this team ever becomes a consistent winner
Lowry was always playing smart tho and being a dog on defence. He just played the game the right way (almost to a fault when he would defer instead of just being selfish).
Barnes is sometimes just deferring when he should be aggressive and being aggressive when he should defer.
But it’s hard to really harp on anyone for not being Lowry. Dude was one of the smartest players I’ve ever seen
I had no problem with the games Lowry struggled to score. I can't think of any game where I thought "Lowry was completely useless out there". Bad scoring games happen. He always brought defense, intelligent play, intensity & leadership.
My only.knock on Lowry was early on he showed some emotional immaturity issues (kinda similar to Barnes), but he matured as time went on. I still appreciated the hell out of the guy though, because I was so tired of watching Calderon rolling out the red carpet for anyone driving to the rim & his cheesy clap closeouts. I was not a Calderon fan. Nice guy, but I was not a fan of his lack of intensity on the court.
I don't mind it when players have scoring stuggles, but they have to play with intensity & physicality on the other end. If a player isn't doing that, they lose me pretty quickley. That's why I rarely complain about Shead.
