Here's a particularly good Harris thread from 2 seasons ago. There are also a few proclaiming him GM of the year.
(Not trying to call anyone out in particular; we all say things that look stupid or inconsistent in the future. It's just amazing how the opinion has turned so quickly in a year and a half.)
I don't want LH to make a trade

Do you even know if anything was in place?

GAD has said many times that Boozer and Marion deals were on the table and Kohl rejected them. Pay attention weffpim, you may learn something.

i know you know that, but other people on this board probably have no clue who "steinmiller" is and so knowing you'd provide a much better explanation as to why he shouldn't be fired based on his work than I would, I provoked you and it worked. And therefore, John Steinmiller is an excellent NBA executive.

I think that small ball team would have actually netted us more wins. An argument could be made that the team would have been deeper and better suited for Terry Stotts. In hindsight I also think Joe Smith would have been a better complement to Bogut last year than Villanueva was. Health is obviously a huge variable there.
I also forgot about Harris

It was great seeing that old thread from almost two years ago.....
I don't think anyone's opinions where that off base at that time. The 2005-06 team had a decent amount of talent on it. No superstars obviously, but much better than what we have now. And yet we only were able to get 40 wins out of it. That season I put on Stotts.
The problem Harris has is that his moves the last two years haven't produced any home runs or even a triple. Putting Yi aside (which required a painful tanking process) arguably his most effective "on court results" move since the time of that thread was bringing in Ruben, and we know how that ended up.
GM's can make a ton of bad moves and still be considered a good GM....they just need to hit on about two signature moves that acquire all-star players. Look at the Colangelo's and their Phoenix track record. They probably missed on a ton of moves in the last ten-years, but got those few hits that have allowed for success. For some reason, Kohl and whoever is GM have not ever been able to just get those couple major successes in 20-years.

Agreed, but the issue is that if Kohl goes, and the team goes to someone more than likely outside the city, the team goes.
