It was great seeing that old thread from almost two years ago.....
I don't think anyone's opinions where that off base at that time. The 2005-06 team had a decent amount of talent on it. No superstars obviously, but much better than what we have now. And yet we only were able to get 40 wins out of it. That season I put on Stotts.
The problem Harris has is that his moves the last two years haven't produced any home runs or even a triple. Putting Yi aside (which required a painful tanking process) arguably his most effective "on court results" move since the time of that thread was bringing in Ruben, and we know how that ended up.
GM's can make a ton of bad moves and still be considered a good GM....they just need to hit on about two signature moves that acquire all-star players. Look at the Colangelo's and their Phoenix track record. They probably missed on a ton of moves in the last ten-years, but got those few hits that have allowed for success. For some reason, Kohl and whoever is GM have not ever been able to just get those couple major successes in 20-years.
