This is similar to Flash is the Future's trade proposal a couple of pages back, but I want to get feedback from MIL fans.
Trade ID #4385887
Milwaukee Trade Breakdown
Incoming Players: Shannon Brown, Cedric Simmons, Ira Newble, Damon Jones, Donyell Marshall, '08 1st from CLE, '10 1st from CLE
Outgoing Players: Michael Ruffin, Charlie Bell, Dan Gadzuric, Michael Redd
MIL sheds salary and adds a couple of decent young prospects. They also bolster their rebuilding project with two CLE picks.
Williams, Simmons, Mason, Jianlian, Bogut
Ivey, Brown, Villanueva, Simmons, Voskuhl
Cleveland Trade Breakdown
Incoming Players: Charlie Bell, Dan Gadzuric, Michael Redd, Darius Songaila, Etan Thomas
Outgoing Players: Shannon Brown, Cedric Simmons, Ira Newble, Damon Jones, Donyell Marshall, Larry Hughes, '08 1st to MIL, '10 1st to MIL
CLE entrenches itself financially, in order to build its lineup around James. Buckeye Redd would be the perfect marksman to use alongside Lebron, and they nab several veterans who could work well around a superstar. Ferry spoke in the offseason, of not being afraid to add salary in order to build around the King. Well, it's time to put his money where his mouth is.
Gibson, Redd, James, Gooden, Ilgauskas
Bell, Brown, Pavlovic, Songaila, Varejao
Washington Trade Breakdown
Incoming Players: Michael Ruffin, Larry Hughes
Outgoing Players: Darius Songaila, Etan Thomas
WAS trades away two marginal assets, and return a pair of familiar faces who can contribute to the playoff push. They also save a little cash, as Darius' deal lasts a year longer than Hughes'.
Arenas, Stevenson, Butler, Jamison, Haywood
Daniels, Hughes, Young, Pecherov, Blatche
[I would also suggest a Daniel-Jones swap added onto this trade (w/Snow to MIL instead of Damon), but WAS fans have disliked the idea of downgrading just to save a year of salary at backup PG, so I've left it out.]
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.
