Gerald Wallace was being pursued by some of the top teams in the NBA and turned them down. Michael Redd wasn't the hinderance to us getting him.. it's ridiculous that a few months into the season fans have forgotten that even the Spurs were trying to grab him and he turned them down.
europa wrote:The fact is the Bucks made Mo their No. 1 free agent priority last summer. That meant they viewed him as being more important than making a run at Wallace (which was little more than cursory) or Billups (which was nothing short of insulting to him) and any other FA on the market. Mo was their top choice and they had money - quite a bit as it turned out - set aside in order to keep him. So it was the decision to re-sign Mo and not Redd's contract that prevented the Bucks from making a strong run at someone like Billups or Wallace. Mo was the big-name FA the team was going to sign last summer.
europa wrote:It's also possible that because Kohl and/or his cronies knew they were going to pay upwards of $9M a year it was a factor in the decision to turn down the Suns' offer of Marion for Yi and Simmons. One could argue they placed a higher value on paying Mo than they did the fact they would have brought in a Top 20 player. That's pure speculation on my part but it fits with the facts at hand.

I probably would cuz of the celeb factor but honestly she's beyond bonkers right now. She's in Anna Nicole Land.
Let me ask you this: If you had a regular girl who was as utterly gonzo as Britney and looked like her, would you have sex with her? To me, the only reason anyone would want to have sex with Britney Spears at this point is to say they had sex with Britney Spears.
And give Timberlake credit - he had sex with her at a time when pretty the entire male population in the world wanted her.
Yikes...maybe send him back to Cameron Diaz, not Britney. I like Justin's music too much to see him mess with her again.europa wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
The hell with him. He can always go back to Britney.
OK, I wouldn't wish that upon anybody. Well almost anybody.

Mine's 10 days later. Born on a Friday and if anybody makes a joke about that, CBQ's gonna kick your ass. Or at least she better defend my honor dammit.

I disagree that he hasn't made any improvements in his game, this or in other seasons. I still agree with the original poster that Redd isn't the guy we need to focus on as far as trading someone. If we can get a wad of used stale chewing gum for CV, Simmons, Gadzuric, and/or Bell.. I would take it, so we can get some guys on here to really support and produce next to our starters.
My point regarding Gerald Wallace was that his preference was always Bobcats..the assumption that if it were not for Michael Redd's salary we could have signed him, was not correct. From what I was told money did matter but ultimately his heart was on his current team.GrandAdmiralDan wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
This might not meet your criteria of establishing credibility, but europa has 100% established credibility at least with me, in part based on private communication between us. I'm not sure he would be willing/able to publicly meet your criteria.
As for CBQ, her sources of information could be more extensive, but I do happen to be aware of one legit NBA person she communicates with that I communicate with as well, so I know she at least has that going for her, if not more.
That being said, I'm not sure what is going on with the SAR issue with her. I think I still have her private contact info somewhere, so perhaps when I have more time later I can get that cleared up with her privately.

THAT LITERALLY IS HIS TENURE.
Being the only girl usually on this board.. I recognize that whenever other posters hear a girl's voice often times associate me with that person. I try not to take offense especially since I have never heard any of the comments.GrandAdmiralDan wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
The woman you are thinking of is Christina, not Christine. I personally can't stand her calls because her entire schtick is going way over the top in her ripping on Andrew Bogut.
I would NEVER have thought that was CBQ, even if I didn't happen to know what her actual name is.
I think some people look at CBQ's screen name, and then whenever they come across a Bucks fan that lines up with those attributes, they wonder if that is CBQ
I'm sure the low ratio of female:male fans factors into that strange phenomenon.
I'm surprised/relieved this doesn't seem to bother CBQ
Don't worry I didn't take offense....my eyes started to hurt a bit with both of those pictures you posted but I wasn't offended.schweig wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
Sorry I didn't mean for the call-you-out part of that, just the anonymous flirting thing. For example this is me, for some reason most of the people I set up internet dates with don't seem very excited to meet me and I'm wondering if I have an odor:
(picture)
and I should have quoted Kurty's "since eventually she will succumb to my advances and then what do I do" for that confidence one but hey, we couldn't have too much confidence or $ from any of us on the way up to $500M for Herb.
I hope he can sell soon just so we can see what kind of decadent rich stuff he'd do with that kind of money at his age
I keep meaning to look for a picture of a wad of chewing gum in reference to what I would take for CV, Simmons, Bell and Gadz.. maybe that would help prove my point.magpies wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
What value has Simmons, Bell, Gaz and CV have NONE, to move this team in the right direction Yi (won't happen) Bogut(might) or Redd have to be traded they are the only ones with value
