no, i wasn't kidding. i love steve nash, and i admit it would be more fun to play with nash than with duncan but, fellas, it's about the titles. Duncan has four. Nash has none. Duncan is a three time finals MVP. Two time league MVP. Selfless player, great teammate. His team was .244 before they drafted him, and its worst season since (with amazing turnover in the supporting cast) has been .640. Last ten seasons he's never missed the playoffs, he's lost in the first round only once. And San Antonio is as likely as any team in the West to make the finals again. Again, I love Nash, he's a great player, but if I want a ring, I take Duncan. He's been the most successful basketball player in the world the last decade, the Bill Russell of his generation.

Duncan actually hasn't even lost in the first round. He was injured and didn't play during the 1999-2000 playoffs, that's why they were bounced in round 1.

if i wanted a championship team and had to pick my superstar from Nash,Duncan,Kidd,Kobe, i would pick Duncan first, Kobe second, Kidd third, Nash last. Nash, with 2 other all-stars and 1 near all-star (barbs) hasnt gotten his team to the finals. So how does Nash give you a better chance to win?

But the question is "name 10 players that you'd like to play with", not who me as a fan I would build the team around to win now.
I do agree Duncan is #1 if I's pick a present championship team.

This is why I suggested the question would've better be "who gets the best out of his teammates, who makes everybody look better?".

Yes, you're right, NBA players said they'd rather play with Nash. My original point was that NBA players are more concerned with generating stats or having fun than winning championships, hence they'd rather play with nash than duncan. And that must drive any GM who wants a championship crazy.
