69 points allowed in the first half to the Hawks! A Hawks team that averages barely 94 PPG????!!! That is just inexcusable. We all know hat the Bulls offense is shaky at best. But what the f****** hell has happened to the defense this year? It's like everyone on the team has forgotten how o play on that end of the floor.
I'm actually amazed the Bulls are down by "only" 20. They should really be down by way more.
OT: Calderon just nailed an open 3 with 9 seconds left in overtime...Toronto up 104-101

I could see that.
Noah: "Damn, look at this team. We such man. Just play me and Gray as the bigs man. Gordon is our scorer, so play the man, and play Deng some ya know. Maybe get Nichols sometime at the three?"
Gordon benched, Deng off the bench, Gray no time, Noah suspended, Nichols probably cut in the next week.

It's simply about giving the ball to the players who can actually score. You know, actually put the ball in the basket.
Joe Smith has taken 11 shots in the game.
Kirk Hinrich has taken 9 shots in the game.
Ben Wallace has taken 4 shots in the game.
Too bad none of these guys are actual scorers.
While Ben Gordon has taken 3 (2 for 3) shots and Lu has only taken 6 (4 for 6).
It's so unimaginably pathetic. Do you not want to score? Do you not want to make shots? How about give the ball to the 2 leading scorers on the team? There's no reason why Ben Gordon should have only taken 3 shots in that quarter. And there's no reason why he shouldn't have gotten the ball more after making 2 of those 3 shots. Stop **** around. It's common sense.

I think the starting lineup has something to do with it. When the team can't score they get deflated. And as the opponent continues to build a lead, we put less and less effort and teamplay into defense.

Our FG% of .370 didn't exactly help overcoming our dreadful defense. This team sucks on both ends of the floor. 1st qtr offense is still the much bigger issue though and there IS a quick way to address our pathetic starts...and that's by bringing Gordon back into the starting lineup. Why the **** is Chris Duhon still starting? He's killing us in 1st qtrs. We're putting way too much pressure on our defense to start off games.

Exactly. Benching Gordon from the start of the Boylan era was dumb enough. But when Deng was out, it was silly not to start your 'sixth man' and bench Duhon.
We have a lineup of Wallace, Duhon, and Hinrich...three bad offensive players. Noce is inconsistent, and Smith is Smith. Paxson needs to wake up and say something to Boylan.

OT: Brandon Roy hits the step back 3-pointer over Calderon (whose defense was pretty good there) to tie the Raptors-Blazers game at 104-104 with 2 seconds left in overtime. Career high 33 for Roy (GOD why couldn't Paxton have drafted HIM 2 years ago??? He, Hinrich and Gordon would have been a really nice rotation)

We should have started Noah and benched every player that has played today instead. He probably told them like it was, and they didn't want to hear it.
I'm sure some of the frustrations of losing probably get taken out on the young guys in practice as they get critiqued on every little thing. While our so called vets and core screw up plenty in actual games and seem to get away with it, keeping all their starting roles and big minutes game after game.
Random speculation? Yes. But its about as good as any other explanation I can think of right now.

That's only two bad offensive players. Hinrich is inconsistent, not bad, on offense. I would go back to Hinrich and Gordon in the starting backcourt and limit C-Doo's minutes. You can't bench both Duhon and Hinrich, as there isn't another backcourt scoring option on the team aside for BG and Kirk...certainly not Thabo.

Thats the major problem - Now. If Smith is say off in the early portion of the game, you have are basically playing 2 on 5 on offense. It them puts more pressure on Kirk to score (which is struggles at) and Deng or Noce.
Plus its not like Wallace and Smith are the most energetic guys on defense. Thats why the Sixers last game and today we are getting blown out with them in. Notice Wallace played all of 5+ mins n the first half.
