huh?
Carney is a very long 6'6". His wide wingspan is capable of covering a lot of ground on the court. Offensive deficiencies aside, Carney is the prototypical NBA 3 in terms of size and athleticism.
I can certainly understand if you don't like his game. But undersized for the small forward position? Have you seen him play? He's built for the 3-spot. With his frame, he would be a perfect fit at small forward. He just can't shoot or dribble. That's his problem. Not size.
Rodney Carney is not the "prototypical NBA 3" in terms of size. Athleticism, sure. But size no. He was measured at 6'5.75 WITH shoes on at the pre-draft camp less than two years ago. Of all those players, ZERO are shorter than Rodney Carney. Of all those players FIVE of them have shorter wingspans than Rodney Carney. There are 34 players listed right there. Some players like Hedo Turkoglu and Tayshaun Prince among others had to be excluded from the list due to their measurements not being available. He's undersized BEFORE you factor in his weight.
I was a big Rodney Carney guy leading up to the draft until his measurements came out. As soon as they did, I was off the bandwagon. If you refute that he's undersized for the small forward position, you just make yourself look like an idiot.
