Well, when I was searching I read on a couple of sites that if you don't have a history in your family, you don't have the symptons mentioned, and you're not over 50, you don't have much to worry about.. I dunno about Nene's case but I don't fit those categories...
I go for regular checkups, but I don't overdo it...Its not just prostate cancer, there's many other types of diseases and conditions they tell you to check out... The reality is its hard to take a test for every condition known to man.. I understand the dangers of it but at the same time I'm not going to be paranoid and go to a doctors office every other day testing myself... I'll die when I'm supposed to die, I'm not going to waste my time worrying about it...
was going to not comment on your post, but i had to. and i will try to bite my tongue as much as possible so i don't come across as being overly rude.
you've contradicted yourself. if you are going to "die when you are supposed to die", why even go see a physician? why wash out an open cut or apply Polysporin? hey, if your time is up, then don't stand in your Maker's way.
and you talk as if you are running these tests on yourself, and physicians aren't sending STANDARD requisitions to labs and nurses aren't drawing the blood. if you are taking your own PSA levels, among other CBC lab results, i commend you.
and please tell me about these other "diseases and conditions" they check you for during your exams. Dengue fever? Tourette's? You must see an interesting physician.
A prostate exam is a standand part of a middle-aged male's physical. I almost feel like its Peter Griffin posting here.
