That's actually a pretty good question. They seem evenly matched to me.

I'll take the West, though. With Kobe and Melo on the same squad, you can't lose. 8)

Look like to me that the league did it on purpose after T-mac's comment.

who cares, tmac doesnt deserve to be on the all-star team.

I hope Baron gets voted in over brandon roy.
i aslo think baron should be in over tony parker. Tony has the better team and good numbers, but barons numbers are better. Baron completely owns the game and can take over while tony has alot of help on his team. GO BARON!!!

They said he have gotten over 10,000 more votes than T-Mac in the final tally, remember Gilbert last year?

It just proves that this whole Chinese internet vote thing is a big fraud. T-Mac didn't deserve it and he did not get voted in, but over and over we keep hearing about a billion Chinese votes...........

allstar game isnt about team it's about indivuals ... as bad as heat are playing wade is the 5th leading scorer in the nba putting up 25 ppg 7 apg ...no other guard in the east even comes close to those stats ...and every other star guard in the east is playing on a bad team besides billups and ray allen who both imo arent having special enough seasons to get the nod over wade ..maybe over kidd tho[/quote
Joe johnson 22, 5 ,4
Billups 18, 7, 3.....2nd best team in the league
RIP 19, 4, 3, 50 fg%, 46 3p %...2nd best team in the league
Allen 18, 4, 3 on the best team
those r the playoff teams
now lets do teams a lot better than Miami, but not quite playoff worthy
VC 21, 5, 5 9th place team
Gorodn 20, 3.5, 3 10th place team
Redd 23, 5, 4...11th place
J rich 20, 5.5, 3 ...12th

Dwade 25, 7, 4, and 4.5 to.....last place 7 games back of 12th...9.5 back of 8th

Granted he has the best stats out of the bunch but hes done it on a team thats worse than the old clippers teams that used to have players with padded stats..they never made the team.....and Dwade isn't 100%, he can use the rest too...that team is tanking, tryin to get Shaq to retire so they can get a good pick and get some free agents..just sad

Yes, but some people will still believe in this myth because they're Yao haters. For those who still hold to his myth, what happened to those billion Chinese votes for Yi?

J Kidd really doesn't deserve to start..... That honour should go to Billups. To the poster who expressed disdain over the idea China directly affects balloting. How is it that Yi had more than 100 thousand more votes than Caron Butler ,Yi's name wasn't on the ballot you had to write it in,?
Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play. It is bound up with hatred, jealousy, boastfulness, disregard of all rules and sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence: in other words it is war minus the shooting.

You just answered your own question about China votes. If all the claims are true that Yao only gets voted in because of China, then the reality is Yi and T-Mac would be starting. Because obviously the FACT is mathematical.

Deduct all votes for Yi that equal number of votes off of Yao's votes and guess what? He STILL starts.

This whole Chinese vote thing is so ridiculous even when the league released the stadium ballots because of all the complaints about the Chinese internet vote and Yao had won the stadium ballots too still every year we get this Chinese vote thing.

It's obviously a racist type of thinking and anyone that does not see that well..........

With all the attention LeBron/Wade/KG will get, can you imagine the number of alley-oops Dwight can get from Kidd?

Watch a game with Camby. Hes having a better year than he did even last year on defense when he was the Defensive player of the year. He leads the west in rebounds per game, the entire league in rebounds per 48 mins, and leads the league in blocked shots with a staggering just under 4 blocks per game. He has also had 2 games with over 10 blocked shots, one in which was a triple double. He also is second in the league amongst centers in assists behind only Brad Miller. With his good ball handling skills he has the highest Assist to Turnover ratio amongst starting centers. The only reason that you can really have for any of those guys to be considered better this year, is gonna be points per game, which Camby can't compete in because of his 2 slightly high scoring teammates.

Im not necessarily pushing for Camby in the all-star game, but he has been a if not the top center in the west this year.

Umm...

Marcus is averaging almost 15 rebounds and 4 blocks, go ahead and compare the records of LAC and DEN. And the Nuggets don't suck defensively, they're certainly not great by any stretch of the imagination but they don't suck.

My problem is the sentiment he's "the best C in the West" that's obviously not true. The whole TNT crew was basically purposely stating something they know is not true. I have no problem if Camby gets on the all-star team and he's a very good player, but come on he's definitely not the best C in the West.

And he's definitely not worse than anyone not named Yao or Amare...

Even then most people would take Camby over Amare because of defense. Go ahead, set up some polls and see for yourself.

Don't start with that. Saying Camby is the best C in the West because he may very well deserve to be the backup all-star at C is like saying Brandon Roy is the best SG in the West because he may very well deserve to be a backup at that spot.

TNT crew are just fools on things like this.
