The dilema we face is that we are built to win the big 3, but the future also looks bright, Marcus, sean, Wright, Boone and Curly, and looking at our comepition, Boston own big 3 gettin old, so while ther winning in the next 3 years, will be rebuilding, they ll be retiring while we are finally becoming a good team
everyone knows about the knicks, theyre doomed
Sixers might lose AI, and thats a disater, if he does we should sign him
The Raptors, always a boarderline playoff team, outside of Bosh, they are not much of a threat
In the Draft we should go after a shootin guard and a small forward

Yeah but teams will point to that as a sign of "hey kidd isn't starting he must be injured or i knew he was getting too old and couldn't sustain the level of play" it's just not smart from a business and basketball perspective.
However i would really like to finally see what we have in this kid and see how he can handle the rest of the season (assuming kidd is traded)

Or we are resting him for them so he's fresh to go.

I just don't see not pushing for the playoffs so why have a sulking Kidd lead us.
Just my thoughts though.

Only rich and i are seeing this clearly and realistically. Guys, don't forget this is a business. And in business, it's not always nice and what you would ideally like to happen. Why wouldn't the GMs use that as leverage to lower the price. Besides, they don't know that he's not hurt and that we're trying to prevent an injury. In ANY form of business, if there is one weakpoint, it will be exposed and made to be worse than it is to make a better deal for that person. It's just how it is and thank god none of you are the GMs of this team otherwise we'd end up with the same or worse deal than the carter or iverson trades.

Teams know what they would get outta Kidd, and they are already lowballing the Nets for Kidd.
It's not a well kept secret Kidd wants out, so it makes absolutely no difference.
exactly right... and rod thorn is on record saying hes not going to make a kidd trade for the sake of trading him, and i trust he'll get something decent in return... but starting marcus isnt the way to go, thats kind of disrespectful to jkidd.. and before u guys rip me for that, he does deserve better than this.. hes the reason we're out of the gutter, so let him have his starting spot til he gets traded
