Which team would be much better with the KIDD in its lineup

Post#1 » by raptor21_85 » Tue Jan 29, 2008 10:36 pm

Teams in the East, obviously

Orlando and Cleveland are running up on Jason Kidd, I don't know if Thorn would be able to send Kidd to the same Conference, but, you know, everything is possible

LeBron + Kidd or D-Howard + Kidd, which team would be better??

in the end, if any of these options happens, it is going to affect our team :noway:

I highly doubt that the nets are going to pull a Babcock move and trade Kidd within the same conference. Just look how it turned out for Babcock..

ooh tough, kidd + howard would be venomous and you can only dream of a kidd + lebron combo.. i can't decide.. kidd and howard would just be an amazing version of the kidd + martin combo they had running that led them to the nba finals.. i can just see kidd runnin down the court throwin a lob of glass to howard or just throwing one no look pass to the sky and let howard go get it.. and kidd + lebron is self explanatory.. it would be a wrap

Kidd is a playmaker and a horrible shooter. Lebron is a playmaker so he needs good shooters around him.

In Orlando, they could use the playmaking of Kidd a little bit more.

I'm sure there is a better destination for Kidd to be.

I wouldn't call Kidd a horrible shooter. Now Milt Palacio is a horrible shooter. Don't you remember Kidd nailing big shots against us in the playoffs last year? You can't get to the NBA finals by being a horrible shooter. Now I'm not saying he's a great shooter either. Anyways I think any team in the NBA would be much much better with Kidd. Word is he wants to go to Dallas, from a "private" conversation he had with his friends. What the heck does private mean these days anyways? Is it George Bush and Cheney reading e-mails and listening to phone convo's? Is it celebrities getting harrassed by retards with cameras all day? Is it friends and family getting paid off by shady megazine folk to get a story?

Didn't Kobe say that he wanted a chance to play with Kidd. This would stop the Kobe trade rumors

Funny enough Milt shoots a higher career fg% than Kidd (0.419 vs 0.401). Just a number, though I do believe that Kidd is a better shooter than Milt. Nevertheless, I still think that Kidd a horrible shooter and part and parcel of why the Nets are not a good team.

Orlando obviously. Nelson is just a above average PG and Kidd is an exceptional PG. Great Playmaker + Great Inside man>>>> Playmaker + Playmaker.

What? The problem with Babcock's trade wasn't that VC went to one of our rivals, it was that we got absolutely nothing back for him. It's not like Vince has single-handedly killed us while playing for New Jersey. If anything it's good that we traded him in our division because we get to boo him more often that way.

GMs should get the best deal they can, not worry about whether they're going to face their former player an extra 1 or 2 times during the course of the year.

Edit: I think Kidd would help both teams a lot, it's hard to say which he would help more. Both could be really scary with him leading the fast break. I'm going to say Orlando would benefit more because Cleveland is going to run its half-court offense through James, whereas Orlando might really benefit by having a great passer who knows how to play handle the ball.

Kidd would improve Orlando a lot more than Cleveland since Lebron controls the ball there anyways.

Kidd and Howard is just scary.
