What? The problem with Babcock's trade wasn't that VC went to one of our rivals, it was that we got absolutely nothing back for him. It's not like Vince has single-handedly killed us while playing for New Jersey. If anything it's good that we traded him in our division because we get to boo him more often that way.
GMs should get the best deal they can, not worry about whether they're going to face their former player an extra 1 or 2 times during the course of the year.
Edit: I think Kidd would help both teams
a lot, it's hard to say which he would help more. Both could be really scary with him leading the fast break. I'm going to say Orlando would benefit more because Cleveland is going to run its half-court offense through James, whereas Orlando might really benefit by having a great passer who knows how to play handle the ball.
