OT: Hawks finally get fined for shady scorers
after shaving points off TO, the hawk gets his day.
Shaq didn't foul out of a heat game, so now they have to play another 56 secs. Problem is now shaq is in the desert, and won't be paying back those 56 secs as his swansong for the heat.

This is so weird. I've been watching basketball my whole life and this is the first time I've heard of them replaying a section of a match. I don't quite get how it's going to work though. Are they playing another game that day anyway? Are they going to begin this 57 second game before the game that was originally scheduled? I wonder if/how this effected any book keepers...
Weird.
Weird.

bob McCowan had david stern on yesterday and point blank asked him why the replay for the heat and not the raptors his response was that it didn't affect the outcome as much as the miami game and that fouling out a player that is crucial to the team's defense, him being the centre, was more important.
i bet it is for that exact reason why the hawks were fined, stern was not upset at the question, he said he can understand Bob's argument.

They would probably just add it on to the game to there next game after it finished. They would have tickets for it as a separate function.

some replies on this thread, wow.
it's obviously going to be a closed game. you'll never see tickets for 56secs of play.
as for the situation, it's funny now with the Shaq trade.
however, it was the first time that (a section of) a game has been replayed. last year, it was the guys who managed the scoreboard's fault but it was a different situation as none of our personnel contested the score before it was too late.
