A trade i'd like to see BC make right now!
TORONTO
Rasho Nesterovic
Jamario Moon
Juan Dixon
UTAH
Andrei Kirilenko
This is the type trade I would love to see BC make. We all know Colangelo likes and has already tried to acquire Kirilenko (almost got him for mo-pete at last years deadline), and it appears AK47 has worn his welcome in Utah. Utah definitely wouldn't mind dealing Kirilenko, and from Toronto's side you get rid of Rasho, Dixon contracts, while selling high on Moon (who coincidentally appears to be nothing more then a poor man's Kirilenko).
In fact, if proposed I could actually see this exact trade going through; Utah takes some scrubs and potential, in exchange for getting rid of Kirilenko's contract (cap room they'll need in the future). The main benefit in this trade? Kirilenko appears to be the perfect guy to shadow Bargnani's rebounding and defensive deficiencies while playing big minutes at the 3. There are some negatives, AK's contract, and somewhat disappointing development, but you never know what a trade could do for a guy? (Especially for a guy whose wanted a 2nd chance and is as passionate as kirilenko). if not, he's still good for 13ppg, 6 rpg, 2.5 bpg, while shooting 50% from the field, while helping Bargnani, in addition to playing some of the best defense you'll find in the league.

We couldn't low ball them with Mo Pete. Check their salaries last year.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

he already tried to...did you read?
BC did try.
When asked about the Jazz and starting small forward Andrei Kirilenko during a recent online chat, ESPN.com NBA writer Chad Ford said this: "I heard they almost moved Kirilenko at the trade deadline to the Raptors for Mo Peterson and change."

But honesty, why would Utah give up AK47 for MoPete & change? I would love to have AK47 in a Rap's uniform. IMO he is exactly what the Raptors are missing and he can cover virtually all of Bargnani's deficiencies i.e. rebounding and help-defense. AK also plays the 3 & 4 and can guard a multiple of positions.
With that said, again, why on earth would the Jazz trade AK to the Raps. AK and Sloan are getting along better, at least there hasn't been any public outcry for awhile. Secondly, the Raps likely couldn't put a package together to entice Utah to bite. Our biggest asset (excluding Bosh) is one of our PGs, and Utah already have D. Williams. If Utah is willing to get rid of AK47, I'd be willing to throw in AP in a package.
How bout Rasho + AP + fillers (Joey? Dixon?) + possibly picks for AK?

joey
Swap Moon for Joey i can see it other then that BC wont take that contract and would rather build having more options with cap space
even if Utah were to take joey instead of Moon that would leave Toronto with Parker,Moon,Delfino, kapono, and kirlenko, all needing significant minutes from the same spot

No, we were pretty happy with that deal too, and would probably do it again. Humphries didn't fit in Utah at all, so we got out of his contract.
The reason we don't do this is because we don't want to take back lesser parts for Kirilenko (and the Joey Graham substitution just "so Toronto can have cap flexibility" is completely laughable).

You've got to be the first person EVER who'd rather have Hoffa then Humphries, or any other player for that matter.
