Thank god it isnt. I cant see how anyone cant support this guy. He's a great moviator, true, however I feel his cons greatly outway his pros. To me he looks like a guy who could identify problems but can never give a solution. Like when he says "We just missed our shots". True we did, but how can we improve? He says we need to get into the paint more, but does he draw up plays when players work to get into the post except for when the Point guard throws Bosh the ball after a pick and roll? I feel Sam is a coach for developing teams, not taking playoff teams to a championship. He is still a young coach and can develop as do players, but do we really have that much time for him to figure out something other than the pick and roll?
Hank_Scorpio wrote:Heard this this morning - an interview between Dan Patrick and Bob Knight.
Knight said something like this
"A coach who can get his players to show up on a game by game basis and give a good effort every night will be successful. It doesn't matter what kind of offense you run or what kind of defense. If you can get the effort night in and night out, then you will be successful."
To me, that described perfectly what it is that makes Sam an effective coach. We almost never look back on a game and say that the effort wasn't there. Everyone seems to be on the same page and everyone seems to be working hard. Sometimes they fail in the execution, but almost never in the effort.

Who on this team would be in this post situatioin except Bosh. Honestly you play with the players you have and the team we've assembled is what we're watching. When the shots are hitting its a blowout if its not well... that's the problem no one else is effective at anything. Our best breakdown player has been gone for 25 games and is nowhere close to game speed ready.
Who do you want him to put in the post, our wings aren't exactly guys known for liking the post area. They shoot, our center is afraid of the post and when he's in there throws up an ugly shot that scares most children. He can't exactly pull stuff out of his arse or pull effective post or slashing players out of his arse
