I actually think this is a good deal for the Mavs (just as I thought the Shaq deal was good for Phoenix). Never underestimate veteran leadership on solid teams. Both the Suns and the Mavs got better with their deals IMO, and the west i absolutely disgusting right now.

^ I agree with this guy ... only thing about these trades for Phoenix and the Mavs is it gives them small windows ... while the Lakers are set for years to come

i still don't think the mavs are questionabl;e against us .. i mean they are tough but i still think we can pull it out in a series ... no doubt phoenix is still the more intresting team to see

NJ definetely got the best of the trade. If it stays as reported.

I really don't think Kidd puts Dallas over the top. In fact it provides us with a better match up for Fish. Going against Kidd as opposed to Fish going against Devan Harris.

The teams in Western Conference seem to be making moves to try and stay with the Lakers and what they accomplished with the Gasol trade.

With the New Jersey Nets poised to complete a blockbuster deal to send Jason Kidd back to Dallas on Wednesday night, Mavericks reserve forward Devean George has unexpectedly exercised his right to block the trade, according to NBA front-office sources. Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com that the teams verbally agreed to the deal earlier Wednesday and were preparing to submit the trade for league approval when George informed the Mavericks that he wouldn't consent to being included in the deal, which is his right based on a rare provision in his one-year contract.

no way... we want this trade. It makes the Mavs old and not particularly better. Harris gives Fish headaches and Kidd doesn't.

Who the hell gave him the no trade clause? He's a veteran minimum player and he gets the superstar treatment? What was Cuban thinking?

Its not cuban. Its a league/CBA rule. Players who sign one year deals cannot be traded without consent.

It would be nice to add Stackhouse. But where would he fit in with us? We would have to move some players.

C-Bynum/Mbenga/Mihm
PF-Gasol/Radmanovic/Turiaf
SF-Odom/Ariza/Walton
SG-Kobe/Vujacic
PG-Fisher/Farmar

Get rid of Walton if anything. Please.
