possible new deal

Post#1 » by kidd007 » Thu Feb 14, 2008 5:57 am

Once George has blocked the trade, i think the only two other ways that a deal could go down is if they either sign and trade KVH or put E.Jones and juwan howard instead of George and we put Armstrong in.They don't want to sign van horn, cuz their luxury tax would be 17 million.....so the deal could not be made and kidd remains a net.

You could substitute Trenton Hassell into the deal for Deaven George and Diop, it would work out.

A question to Nets fans; is Stromile Swift available? Since Hassell's salary was added, and Diop was removed, the Nets could keep the Antoine Wright expiring.
I saw that Stro has 5.8 million coming this season, and a player option of 6.2 million next season, which he will likely use. Perhaps the 3 million cash, and the Anthony Johnson TE (2.6 million)?

If the Nets don't want Stro, and need to clear space, Mavs could help out. If not, additional work could be done...[/i]

Who says that about Wright? He's in a seperate deal. A 2nd rounder for Antoine Wright. That deal stands on its own and should remain.

Swift can't be touched until the season is over with. He just was recently traded.
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

Swift can't be traded until the summer. I doubt Thorn looks at Hassell because of his contract.

I sure as hell wouldn't mind...unless we use him in a Mike Miller trade.

Wrong. Swift can be traded, as long as he is not packaged with another player.

My mistake. I thought you wanted to throw in Swift into the Dallas package.

That deal was only because it could not be allowed in the actual Kidd deal. If the Kidd deal doesn't go through, theres no way in hell we are trading Wright for a future 2nd. It would leave a hole at SG.

And that's where i hope the Mike Miller move comes in either trading Kidd or not.

My problem, didn't want to come off as abrasive...
Would the Nets be interested in dealing Swift?
And yeah, Wright for a second rounder as a completely seperate deal makes no sense for the nets...
Does anybody really think it's a "seperate" deal? Come on now...
