That's what Theg found.
Theg: Where did you find this? I quickly scanned (actually ctrl-f my way through the CBA FAQ) and didn't see this listed.

Sounds like someone really screwed up. How do you forget about this no trade clause and not talk to the guy before making this deal & making it so public. Things have to be really uncomfortable in that locker room with all those guys who were included in the deal.
After I started writing this post I realized that just last week he was saying to use him or trade him. I guess I don't blame him for not wanting to go to NJ. Its not like they're going anywhere this season & maybe the next couple seasons.

OT: Devon Goerge Bird rights question
Howdy, I am confused, I was reading ESPN and they said George rejected the trade because he would loose his bird rights. According to the google, bird rights are traded with the player.... So how is that possible that he looses his bird rights?

He vetoed the trade because his bird rights would have to be given up. Basically he's assuring himself that he gets paid. It's a selfish move, but if you look back I believe Phoenix signed Danny Manning to a small 1 year deal just to be able to resign him for the Max with being able to go over the cap. Obviously George won't get the max, but he obviously feels he might get more than the MLE, or doesn't feel the Mavs will use there MLE on him. If he renounces those he won't get his raise next season

It's not a matter simply of not going to New Jersey, its the waiving of his rights.
Doing this reduces the amount of teams that can sign him and the dollar amount after the current season is up.
That's what's being publicized as his big reason for blocking this. Now if NJ says to him "we want you to stay for a few more seasons", he can simply waive the no trade.
At least that's my understanding.

Apparently ALL 1 year deals get the NTC, not just scrubs.

A player qualifies as an 'Early Bird' free agent after two seasons without being waived or changing teams as a free agent.
George re-signed with the Mavs on a 1 year deal, giving him early bird rights.
If he is traded, he loses the Early Bird rights. I believe Bird rights can be traded as long as a player has them but isn't playing under a 1 year deal.
The Early Bird rights allow George to be resigned at seasons end for 175% of his previous salary, or the NBA's average salary, whichever is greater, without regard to the salary cap. If he waives that right, it redices his options to being signed by a team under the cap, or a team spending some of their MLE on him, or signing for the minimum.

It's under the 5th bullet point of "When can't a player be traded?" http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#85
Without the player's consent when the player is playing under a one-year contract (excluding any option year) and will have Larry Bird or Early Bird rights at the end of the season.

Cuban ought to bench George for the season and then waive him after March 1st, or whatever the signing deadline for playoff rosters is.
That'll teach him.
That'll teach him.
