Because the guy who was reporting it was legit. He reported the Iverson trade before it happened, he reported the Shaq trade before it happened, he reported the Kidd trade and the players involved before it was even discussed. Many others as well. He is legit.
One of two things have happened. Either the Magic are still thinking about taking the deal, meaning it won't be discussed until both sides go public or the Devos family has cheaped up again and screwed the fans, meaning they have killed it off.
I personally think it is dead mainly because I know this franchise and how stupid and cheap they are. We will probably end up with Thomas and that is fine, but we basically went with a quick fix something Otis claimed wouldn't happen and would have passed on a trade that helped put this team into major contention IMO.
Of course to me, no Haslem, no Wilcox, no Miller and no Garcia = fail for Otis. This was the last chance to make a big deal considering all the expirings we have and Otis/Devos family is going to piss it away. It is a big deal, but kind of not because like I said, knowing the franchise, this is what they do.
See, herein lies the truth. You want us to believe it's true because you want another opportunity to say this. Because you always say this. And no, there is no conspiracy there. All you have to do is go back and look at all of idunkonyou's posts to see it.
If it doesn't happen, you can maintain that it was true and that the Magic were just too cheap. No, it's impossible that there might have been no truth at all to the story and that everyone else in the world just failed to find out about it.
That's great that supposedly that guy broke all those stories, but I'm thinking if that guy's sources are so impeccable that he would be breaking all those stories that he would be getting paid big bucks writing for ESPN so that more people would see it.
