That would be great, Suns would never do it, now that Marions gone, Diaw is their Mr. Doitall.

How are the Kings in a catch 22? They basically control the market with him right now or at least to a point. If they dont move him, the Kings keep an amazing player and have the upper hand to resign him. However, they also will have the ability to sign and trade him which could net a lot too. So until a team offers the Kings what they want, I dont see him leaving.

because every game that Artest wins you hurts your chances to land a top 6 pick.

Bobby Sura cost us a shot at Dwight Howard one year winning games while looking for his next contract.

It's pretty much impossible to get the top 6th pick due to the horrendous Eastern teams...At best we will be with in the single digits...(8-12)

we would love for the Lottery but it wont happen this year, we are trying to dump contracts, get draft picks and young players with expirings.

so pretty much anything is possible, going from these articles and sports shows, the Kings are going to wait till the last minute, they basically have some of the last big name's that could teams over the top with Artest and Miller.

Word has leaked of a huge trade between the Seattle Supersonics and the San Antonio Spurs. Talks between the Spurs and Nuggets apparently broke down this morning. The Spurs will receive power forward Kurt Thomas, while the Sonics will gain Brent Barry, one other undisclosed expiring contract, and San Antonio's 1st Round picks for 2008 and 2010.

Sonics just got the same package from the Spurs that the Kings were offered for Artest and all they gave up was Kurt Thomas...NICE!

That Spurs deal was horrible, 2 old farts and the Spurs pick, which is always low.

I think that given the recent developments with the Kurt Thomas deal, I'm going to change the title of this thread.

heres the thread where he broke shaq news way earlier than it happened

http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic. ... 36&start=0
(check the first 6 pages, he PWNED us while we shot him down)

and heres what he said about artest

http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic. ... c&start=24

Watch out for Artest...for the ATL pick.

Edit: Obviously this means the TE would be used up as well. And the last player slot that is open right now.

I think Artest is probably going to stay a King.

Kleiza is still a question mark if he'll be given up. Who will create a certain log-jam, unless he is put as third behind Salmons and Garcia. Still is a decent young talent, though.

seems like a insider if he got the Shaq trade, which NO ONE was even thinking about.

**** Denver, if they wanna play hardball , trade with theSuns Petrie, get us some help in the future.

is ATL's pick protected ?

Nope, but I still don't think ONE 1st rounder is worth Artest.

I don't believe so, but that's pretty irrelevant considering where they'll probably end up anyways.

On a side note, I really don't think I would like a Diaw\Thomas swap. Or at least, I would be very fearful of doing it.
