Is Redd better than Manu Ginobili?
Stats would say so, but I think Ginobili is better than Redd, and is paid almost 7 million less per season the next 2 seasons.

Exactly. Who hasn't fit it or looked good when playing next to Tim Duncan?? This dude makes the people around him so much better it's not even funny.
Vice President of Parker-Nation.

We can do this in a very scientific way since some people like to judge off of this
:
Ginobili: 1 gold medal
Redd: 0 gold medals
Don't try counting last year's FIBA Americas because Argentina had none of its stars.
It would be cool though, if you guys could talk again about that being a "Gold Medal" for Redd.

The Bucks would be better with Manu just on defence. He used to get flack that he was getting his good offensive numbers against second units, however, check him out as a starter in 13 games this season:
25.8 points
6.2 assists
5.7 boards
1.5 steals
0.3 blocks
37.2 minutes
50.7 FG%
46.2 3P%
86.8 FT%
Here's Redd who doesn't come off very well by comparision:
23.2 points
3.7 assists
4.7 boards
1.1 steals
0.2 blocks
37.8 minutes
44.5 FG%
37.3 3P%
83.8 FT%

Statistically-speaking, they are close, but if you watch them play, Ginobili is better than Redd IMO. Ginobili is a better leader, and ultimately a better team player.
In general, it's an advantage to play with Duncan, because he attracts defenders away from teammates and grabs plenty of rebounds, but Ginobili has proven he can play well without him, as proven by his international play, pointed out by Adam.
