Did Memphis make a mistake?

Varejao can easily put up 10 and 10 if he got the right amount of playing time. If the coaching staff told him to score, he could average 15 and 10. His defense is also underrated. He's able to draw all of those charges because he's great at moving his feet. I would rather have a charge drawn than a blocked shot. Anyone who thinks that Varejao's entire game is about flopping hasn't seen much of him.

Did the pistons make a mistake drafting Darko ahead of Carmelo Anthony?
At the time, Darko was the 2nd best prospect. There were numerous rumors about how Denver tried to trade up one pick in the draft so they could get Darko. At the time, Gm's were on the same page in thinking Darko was going to be great. He just didn't pan out. And the only other really reasonable pick would have been Bosh, who I was hoping we would draft.
