I think they did make the wrong choice. What were they thinking Darko??

Did the pistons make a mistake drafting Darko ahead of Carmelo Anthony?

Varejao>>Darko
Varejao can easily put up 10 and 10 if he got the right amount of playing time. If the coaching staff told him to score, he could average 15 and 10. His defense is also underrated. He's able to draw all of those charges because he's great at moving his feet. I would rather have a charge drawn than a blocked shot. Anyone who thinks that Varejao's entire game is about flopping hasn't seen much of him.

You are right. It's also about hacking and shoving!

Darko is the long lost brother of Kwame Brown.

At the time, Darko was the 2nd best prospect. There were numerous rumors about how Denver tried to trade up one pick in the draft so they could get Darko. At the time, Gm's were on the same page in thinking Darko was going to be great. He just didn't pan out. And the only other really reasonable pick would have been Bosh, who I was hoping we would draft.

The Memphis Lakers are a joke, just a feeder team for Jerry West's Lakers. It's sad really.

This guy is just trying to take the attention off the former Spurs Assistant GM or whatever who is now the GM of the Sonics.
